Heard of Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Windir, but not actually heard them. They're not really my thing I don't think. Unless they're anything like Porcupine Tree?

Windir is Black Metal (only got the one song though, cause I like the 6 minute electronica bit at the end) and Godspeed is post rock, like Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, Sigur Ros etc.

Not heard of porcupine tree, enlighten me.
 
If you've heard Celldweller, they're on the same track as that. Sort of between alt. rock and light metal.
From what I've heard of Sigur Ros, I wouldn't say they're metal in any way though.
