Help Where/how to get MULTIPLE Counter (SUPPORT) Materia?

I've just watched some legit no-cheat guides to Ruby and Emerald and it shows techniques using counter materia combos. Please note I am NOT talking about magic-counter or counter-attack materia, I mean the standard counter command linking materia.

I want to set up counter-mime a Omnislash with Cloud, and I've read that the only place to get counter materia is to pick one up for the Northern crater, but the guy in this walkthrough (AwkwardPwners on YouTube), had a total of six counters and six mimes, so how do you get this many?

you cant mime limits

Im not so sure on counter, you might be able to get more at the chocobo races, you can definately only find one mime, but either way, you need to level them up until they master, then a new materia will be 'born' which you then have to level up and master to get another one... etc

It is as painfully slow as it sounds

edit* unless you use the Double item glitch and you can just get yourself unlimited elixers to fight magic pots with in the northern crater, the movers down there also give a butt load of AP, but they are a bit less common

Yeah found that out not long after posting this after an 'all' materia was born. Master was sold, of course.

It's been 10 years since I played FF7 so couldn't remember much.

I'm pretty sure Counter can be won at the chocobo races. I'm not sure how many you can win though. Otherwise, like Bambi said, you'll just have to level them up until a new materia is born.

Those bouncing orange balls are where it is at. They do that Delta attack? What are these things called?!? Throw on a triple growth weapon and BOOM - Your in business!

Magic counter, that one is that can be won at the chocobo races, same kind of thing but it can't be linked to mime/omnislash which is what I need, unfortunately, but I've figured it all out now anyway

Well if you're going the counter route, why use Knights summon? It makes the battle very very very boring. Have you looked at the hero drink x4 cut counter set up?
