which covers do you prefer? the japanes/Usa ones which have full pictures or the european ones which are just the logo on the white background?

i prefer the european ones becaus i think they look better

I prefer the white background ones, I got both FFIII and Revenant Wings imported and I much prefer the ones I see in the shops round here, but well, I wanted them early and it was cheaper to buy them offline but I still prefer the European ones :monster:

They just look better imo

I like the full picture covers that the US and Japan do. The European ones don't look bad, but in comparison to the color ones I find them bland and boring.

The European ones look far better. When I first picked up an FF game (X), I was entrigued by the ghostly woman dancing on water on the logo.

If I saw Tidus standing in the water, I probably would never haver bothered, and I probably wouldn't be here now.

I completely prefer the stark white backgrounds with Amano's gorgeous artwork so elegantly drawn across them. He is truly a master genius. There's soo much mystery in the less complex, simple, beauty of those covers. Our ' lovely ' US covers, and I'm being sarcastic here, make me want to gag. :) Now, some are better then others - I really enjoyed VII's cover, way back when, and a few others - still I prefer the white background and the logo.

^ I agree. I've seen the NTSC covers, and they don't have quite the effect of the covers here, in all their glory. The PAL covers are much better, IMO, because of their mystique and simple looks, and also that they give a traditional story book feel, at least at the front. Why there are completely different covers anyway, I don't have a clue.

The simple, clean covers of the PAL copies are far more classy and stick out a lot more. The NTSC ones look quite poor in general, some I do like but most don't seem that great.

I'm the same, I reckon that the PAL covers look better than the NTSC versions...although, I like the NTSC versions of Crisis Core, FF1 (PSP) and FF2 (PSP) covers better than our covers.

They both look really good, but PAL just generally looks better to me.

The European ones definately, not because I'm biased but they just honestly look better

I prefer the plain white covers as well, I like the simplicity of them and the uniqueness of the design.

I love the specifics of each loge in each game in the FF series. Each has its underlying meaning as well as specific relationship to the game which it represents.

However, I'd rather have the cover of the case colored in and portraying the characters/places/theme of the game in its full beauty instead.

I got with the "outside-Japan" cover.

I'm not really bothered by which covers my games have on, mainly because it isn't the covers i buy a game for it's the actual game. I don't care if it looks good when it is stacked with my other games, i prefer it to look good when the disk is in the Console and it is showing on screen

@ Majin: Ahh how some people never see the good in art...:neomon:

I've always thought the europe covers to be better because they seem more greater lol :wacky:

While I love the logos and having it be the main focus on the cover, I love colorful pictures and any artwork that they have to offer specifically for the main cover itself as well. It just seems more appealing to the eye, in my opinion. Eye candy, if you will. I like to see them get creative with the covers and what they can come up with that would suit the overall game. Yes, the European version seems to maintain that simple yet professional look, but I just personally love to see actual artworks displayed on covers.
