When people talk about who the greatest guitarist is of all time names such as Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour, Jimmy Page ,and Van Halen are mentioned and rightly so. Even though the Guitarists above should be at the top of the list some of the more current guitarists are looked over. I created this topic to find out who people believe are the greatest current guitarists.
My pick for the greatest guitarist since 1990 is Tom Morello. Morello's heavy guitar riffs, innovative guitar solos, and use of effects makes him one of the most unique guitarists in history. Morello was the guitarist for Rage Against the Machine in the 90s, Audioslave in the 2000s, and his newest group Street Sweeper Social Club. Morello also has a solo project known as the Nightwatchman which he has been working on throughout the 2000s.
