Why didn't Seymour summon Anima?

Because he wanted to become Yuna's Final Aeon. As a Summoner, he would simply be killed by his Final Aeon and that would be that. If he WAS the Final Aeon, he would attain his dream of becoming Sin.
Not only that, but I think only Yunalesca can make a Final Aeon from a sacrifice who dies with her so she can make them the Final Aeon. If any old Aeon could be chosen, Yunalesca wouldn't be needed.

Thats what i was thinking myself, if I have it correctly it was Seymour's mom who became Seymours final aeon. Makes you wonder if Anima was a final aeon why didn't it kill Seymour when he called it in Luca and also when Yuna occuired it.
She wasn't made into a Final Aeon by Yunalesca. She underwent the same process as all of Yuna's other Aeons. In order to actually get a Final Aeon, Anima would have had to be sacrificed by Yunalesca, which she wasn't.
The short version - Anima wasn't Seymour's Final Aeon.
Final Aeon's are unique to each person, created by Yunalesca at the end of their pilgrimage. There are no stone Fayth's for them, like for the other summons, so other summoners cannot gain them.
Anima was a regular Aeon, not a final one. Her fayth is in Baaj Temple and can be acquired by Yuna late in the game.
