It's called Costa Del Sol because this is the first area away from Final Fantasy topics. In the game "Final Fantasy VII", there was a beach-type place where many people went to relax - in other words, get away from the troubles of FF 
So it's kind of a hilarious [sarcastic face here] symbol.
