Student Natalie Dylan auctions her virginity, reportedly got bids up to $3.7M

Virginity is at a premium these days - a $3.7 million premium it seems.

Well, at least it is for Natalie Dylan.

Dylan, a 22-year old student from San Diego, is selling her virginity to the highest bidder, according to the Daily Telegraph.

She claims she has received offers up to $3.7M for a one-night stand with her, the paper reported.

Dylan says that 10,000 men have bid to have sex with her, according to the paper.

"I think me and the person I do it with will both profit greatly from the deal," Dylan told the paper.

Dylan wants to auction off her virginity to pay for her master's degree in Family and Marriage Therapy.

She was inspired to do this by the actions of her sister, Avia, who worked as a prostitute for three weeks to help pay for her degree, the paper reported.

"I know that a lot of people will condemn me for this because it's so taboo but I really don't have a problem with that," Dylan told the Daily Telegraph.

Dylan is confident that she is not degrading herself by auctioning her virginity. "My study is completely authentic in that I truly am auctioning my virginity but I am not being sold into this. I'm not being taken advantage of in any way," she told the paper.

"It's shocking that men will pay so much for someone's virginity, which isn't even prized so highly anymore," she told the paper.

Going for a good cause?

I'd rather suffer some years of debt to pay off my bills, rather then act like a prostitute and sell myself to some unknown person. Your virginity is meant to be a precious thing, something you give up once you meet that special person.

I just think it's distgusting really, what some people will go to, just to get out of paying their debts easier. I'd go for hard work thanks, and feel really good about paying it off, having worked my ass off for it.

What more can I say?It's her body after all if she's happy with that decision then alright.I just don't get how can all those men bid for her virginity that high(she's not even that beautiful).I think both sides are to feel pity for.
Of course just because now she won't follow the same road her sister did doesn't mean she won't do it later when again she has to repay a debt.

Acht, if she's comfortable with it and people are willing to pay that much for it, all the more power to her. I could never personally do that (though it's looking like a real option <_<) but I strangely admire her for being so ... brave? That might not be the word - she's essentially prostituting herself and that's not very brave. xD

I think there are far better ways for someone to pay off a University loan. Like Lisa said, I'd rather get a job and work hard for it.

Although, that being said, it's her body, and she can do what she wants with it.

And in California, where she is attending school, that is--by law--illegal.

Now, as for her argument. I agree that she isn't being forced into this and that it is her choice to auction of her body in exchange for a handsome lump sum. But this quote is what frightens me the most:

She's not exactly unfortunate looking. Her tits are huge, she's a nice, shaply size and her face is pretty...I'd say that is the perfect recipe for a horny guy with a lot of money to spend on a one-night stand with a beautiful woman. And in her field of study, she should already have some sort of idea in regards to how people's minds work.

Exactly my thoughts when I first read that. It does not matter if she's a virgin or not. She's still selling her body, which is prostitution and is illegal in California. I'm not going to go into the whole "it's her body, it's her choice," argument because that's not the point here. =/ Point is, I'm very surprised she wasn't arrested for her action. Unless she did it in Las Vegas where prostitution is legal, the whole situation is basically a 'high-class' prostitution nonetheless. She did it for money - obviously, you need money to pay off your master's degree - which is what some prostitutes do too, correct? (Although some would do it for drugs as well but that's a different story). And they get arrested for it when they are caught. So why her case is seen as different is just beyond me.

I think the whole situation is an odd one.
Selling your virginity as if it is a piece of furniture seems very mercenary to me. The men bidding were quite weird though there appeals to men for taking someone's virginity.
I'm glad she's selling it to pay for her education rather than a car or some shit like that.
 
The only way to prove that she was in fact a virgin, would be the presence of a hymen, but that is also not very accurate, as there are surgical procedures that can recreate a hymen. My point being, how do you know if she's actually a virgin? you don't. Besides, I'll doubt that the man who wins even asks if they can get a doctors opinion. Just a bunch of crazy malarkey if you ask me... I wouldn't pay a cent over 2 million :) jk

Like Dave said, if she's comfortable with it then all the more power to her. It's not as if it's something that is going to affect us, and I really doubt the man who spent 3.7 million really cares if she's a virgin or not to be honest. Plenty of people lose their virginity on one night stands, people they won't spend their lives with etc.
The only difference between those people and her is that she got money, so again, I don't see what the fuss is about. =/
