Playstation Xenosaga continuation?

I would really like it if square enix takes over monolith and makes a episode IV. Not everything has been answered in Xenosaga. Xenosaga a missing year is still mysterious and if you guys would like to know everything about Xenosaga go checkout the xenosaga perfect guide which is now translated in english.
 
If a fourth Xenosag game was made I would be jumping for joy I loved this series. And I agree with you some questions remain unanswered.

The series was meant to have VI episodes after all....
Episode IV would be a new story and the only characters from previous games in it would be chaos and KOS-MOS.I hope it happens.
 
I would love it if kos-mos returns and also all the other characters except the dead ones. We need more insight on Nephilm! Yeah and also Sellers, he did not die. Also Doctus looks evil.

Honestly SQUARE ENIX SHOULD TAKE OVER XENOSAGA so they could make more. Monolith was good but I hope square would care for xenosaga one day. Xenosaga is one of my fav rpgs.

A little OT

I just need to express my joy, I found a relatively mint used copy of Xenosaga episode II at EB the other day. I've been looking for this game for MONTHS, and was on the brink of resorting to Amazon but there it was, sitting there just.... waiting for me.

I tried skipping from Ep. I to Ep. III and... I didn't get it o_O


but, to add something related to the topic, rather than make another Xenosaga, I think I'd be happier if S-E decided to port the original Xenogears. Though, I think there maybe copyright reasons that might have prevented them from doing so already. If they decided to do it, they'd probably pull in a decent amount of cash, considering the infamous demand+rarity of the original PSX version (which I have, and cherish :P)
 
i also have a mint copy of exenosaga part 2 and i must say i fell in love, i feel that they should make more and release them in EUROPE
 
Well of course they should release them in europe but I do not know why they do not want to do it? I would say If they made some come out in europe they would make an Episode IV.
 
i'm the proud owner of ep I,II<and III all mint ha bought 2 copies of each one to play and one to look at.... nah just kidding i but i do have all three and all in near mint condition i want to seea IV com out but most likly it wont on my xenosaga forum the said that they were cancling eps IV and V due to low intreast in the market.
 
Well I enjoyed playing the first although I never got much into it. I read in an article that the Xenosaga project was cancelled due to issues among the developers, staff leaving and whatnot. They were, though, considering approaching the storyline from a different perspective and with different characters.
 
Seeing as this thread is dead Ill revive it. So like I said Xenosaga has a chance of getting episode IV but I do not think it will happen in 2-3 years maybe even 5 years. Xenosaga episode III was never released in europe cause of the poor sales of episode II. Seeing as this is one of my favorite rpgs ever should I still care for a Episode IV. There is the new super robot wars endless frontier where you can play as Kos-mos and T-elos. This new game is made by monolith and namco bandai so Monolith should still be in buisness. Ill just wait and if it never happens then I guess that would suck.
 
if they ever did continued the story of xenosaga, that would be great. this was a great series and one of my most favorite series of all time. in my opinion, it has the best best female character in any video game series in KOS-MOS. they reallly need to bring the series back, if not, just make a spinoff with KOS-MOS the main character. there was a rpg that was release in japan only with KOS-MOS in it if i remember correctly. too bad that game never got brought over to america
 
Don't get me wrong, I like the Xenosaga series (even the bastard child Episode Two). Hell, I'd even say it's one of my favorite games.

But I don't want them to continue the series. I certainly don't want SquareEnix taking over the franchise. -_-

My concern is that if another development group swept in and grabbed these games, they would just bastardize a group of games that I truly enjoy. Episode One was my favorite of the bunch, and really hooked me with its deep plot. While Episode Two had its flaws (oh, did it have them), it was still a decent game and it still had an incredible story. Episode Three was different, but great, and still continued the plot, which had my fully addicted by this point.

Sure, there are hanging questions...but is that so bad? I personally wouldn't want anyone but Monolith making more continuations to a story that I think has been sufficiently concluded. =\
 
So then I do think they should make an Xenosaga episode Iv or ino make Xenosaga a missing year a game. Xenosaga is a grand universe but like does it have any relation too Xenogears at all? Cause like Xenogears had the same references. Anyways If Xenosga a missing year were to be a game what would you like in it. Or if Episode Iv comes in 3 or 5 years what would you love to see in it. Also Xenosaga I and II (ds version) Have only been released in Japan. Who knows ,aybe they are working on a ds remake of episode III and They will release the whole series here? But they are under nintendo now. But I believe it is still possible. But I do think they should make an Episode IV also for all the xeno fans. They should also try releasing Episode III in Europe. It would be nice if They started a new game series as the sequel to Xenosaga. I still love Xenosaga and my love for it will never die.

I loved Xenosaga. FF will always be my favorite series, but damn...Xeno came kinda close. How they tied everything together was just amazing. And while I don't believe in stretching out a story...I wouldn't say no to another Xenosaga.

chaos was always my favorite character. He just had so much mystery about him right from the beginning, and when Wilhelm called him "Yeshua" at the end of Episode 2, it made me read into the name, and I learned a lot. Very cool how they did that.

I would love to see the story carried on with Shion and the others on the Else finally reaching Lost Jerusalem to meet with chaos. But what of poor KOSMOS? Drifting eternally like that...biggest open ended part of the whole thing. I can really see Namco releasing Episode 4 at some point in the future, build up the suspense a bit ;)
 
I would also LOVE to see a new Xenosaga game.... Xenosaga Episode III was posed to be my favorite game... but to me it had a TERRIBLE ending... escpecially as an ending to the series... so much remained open, and it definitely needs cleared up :P However i really don't see Square taking over Monolith, and making a new Xenosaga.. >_<
 
As much as I love Square, I wouldn't want them to take over Xenosaga...SE have their own feel to their games, kinda their signature. If Xenosaga is to continue, it should be with the same team imo.
 
As much as so many FANS OF XENOSAGA like ME love Xenosaga the best thing Monolith can do first is Release Xenosaga I and II on ds from in europe and North America. If the game gets good reviews I think they will remake Episode III on Ds like they did with I and II and then in 2014 or something IV, V AND VI shall be born! Im sure Monolith can team up with nintendo and et some good ideas. Shions arc is probably done so now it should be About Kos-mos only. Hell of course I would love to see Shion Uzuki again but she was a bad bad bad girl....... So lets just see the future and I hope Xeno fans post in this thread more! Petitions dont seem to help but If they were to release III in Europe im sure they would like it.
 
Xenosaga is my favorite series out of all the games that I have played so far. <3<3<3<3<3<3

I was content with the ending of XS3.... I was 'content'.... it doesn't mean it made me happy, especially considering that it was so be a 6 episode series. I was so mad that they had to cut 3 of those out.

I was actually a little irritated at how it the series ended because it left so many things unanswered.

1 was A-mazing.
Good graphics, Unique story and characters that have never been shown before. One of a kind gameplay. Character development was right on key. And I also loved the long FMVs.

2 was not that bad... but it wasn't great.
Thing about this one that I hated most is that they changed the voice actors for 2 of the primary characters! >_< The story line seemed to drag a little more but it still lived up to 1 in that aspect. Gameplay was slower but I do think that it added to the strategy that you played. Main thing I loved about this one is that you learn why Albedo is the way that he is in the 1st one, and that just makes me love him. It's very reasonable why he turned out that way.

3 lived up to the extreme.
Graphics were so much better in a completely different way than XS1. Storyline kept up.... although a few of the scenes made me say 'WTF' to my game. The main thing that I didn't like about 3 was that they tried to explain everything and more in the storyline of 3.
The main scene that I am thinking of is when Jr didn't remember about the 'linking up'....
Gameplay wasn't that bad... it actually reminded me of Final Fantasy a lot. I think I prefer the gameplay in 1 compared to this one. There were so many moving moments!!!

Honestly.... I really love the series. BUT They've done so much to butcher the storyline thus far because they have cut it down from 6 to 3 episodes, that I honestly think they would be better off remaking the entire series of 6 episodes. If they did make another episode there's no doubt that I would get it. They would have to think of more to the storyline because where 3 ended was where 6 was supposedly to end.
 
I'm confused; XenoSaga was suppose to be a 6-game series? o_O

I haven't beaten the third one yet, so I can't give a real impression, but in general I'd be all for more XenoSaga. Absolutely one of my fave RPG games.
 
Yes Fusion it was supposed to be 6 games but namco were gay and cut it down to 3 instead. Im SURE IV will happen in the near future though! Fusion get off the forums and go pass III NAOW!!! its awesome.
