Why is Yuffie always forgotten about? You always see on websites "Aerith VS Tifa" threads and Aerith and Tifa this Aerith and Tifa that..While Yuffie Barely gets mentioned.

Why is this? Is it because the other girls overshadow her? With Aerith and her death, and Tifa and her boobs - they're FF legends, while Yuffies got nothing memorable except that "She was that bitch who stole my materia"

Personally i quite like Yuffie, i found she had more personailty than some of the other characters and had a decent amount of backstory to her ^_^

Discuss Yuffie ^_^

And remember - try not to flame characters, i'd prefer this not to get into an Aerith VS Tifa VS Yuffie thread.

Maybe it was because Yuffie was a side character and not everyone knows about her? Poor her and Vincent were left out in the end scene :(. Yuffie was the bitch that stole my materia though!

Personaly, I think the reason why people leave her out is that she really wasn't connected to Cloud in any way. Aerith had a thing with Cloud...really because he reminded her of Zack but thats not the point. Aerith had a thing with Cloud, and Tifa and Cloud grew up together. Maybe? I really can't say because different people would say Tifa vs. Aerith instead of Tifa vs. Yuffie for different reasons.

I always liked Yuffie alot. She had a nice cheery personality that really offset the gloom and doom of the game, she was cute, aaaand she was a ninja!

And yes, while she was "the bitch that stole materia", she did it for a good reason. She wanted it to make Wutai stronger so they could stand up to ShinRa since her father had turned the place into a tourist attraction and all the town's honour had been lost.

She's a good character in battle too, much better than Tifa or Cait Sith and just as useful as Red or Cid.

It's because she's quite possibly the worst character in FF to date (with the exception of Celes, FFVI). She was annoying, in the same class as Rikku annoying. Like one of those characters you just wouldn't be happy with beating round the head with an iron pole. Everything she came out with annoyed me.
She was useless in battle too. Her attacks weren't powerful, she wasn't magically strong. She was generally weak all round.

Oddly enough, I'm one of the people who didn't get annoyed by her stealing all you materia. I welcomed the challenge of not having all your magic to make the battles easier.

As my sig suggests, Yuffie may be my favourite character in FFVII. She added a huge side-quest and had a great personality. The only thing is, I never actually used her in my main party(but then again I never used Tifa or Aeris for that matter). I never used vincent either which is also a shame. I always ended up with Cloud, Red XIII, and Cid every time I played it for some reason.

I like Yuffie, but I think the fact that Square did not really include her in the main plot of the game is the reason why she's overshadowed by the rest of the characters, and not just by Tifa or Aerith. She was a side character, yes...and so was Vincent, but at least he played a role in some parts of the story. His character is harder to get too. =/

Now, I found Yuffie to be strong, to be honest. Sure she start out weak, but once she gets to a higher level, she can really deal some serious damage.

At first, I was indifferent to Yuffie, I didn't like her nor hated her. Yes, I did hate it when she stole all my materia (I had just gotten Knights of the Round), but after I did all of the Wutai sidequest I began to see Yuffie in a different light. She had an interesting backstory and connection to Shinra and a noble goal (to restore her country's former glory), so it added a lot of depth to her character. Plus, her personality grew on me a lot, she's bubbly and lively just like me, lol. I also began to train her and she became a powerhouse, especially with her ultimate weapon (her limit breaks are not bad either).

Lolwhut? If you have her Ultimate weapon, and if you have All Creation, if you're against one enemy and if you're a high level, that still only does a grand total of... 9999. Whereas all other Ultimate Limit Breaks did that in a single blow. Her Limit Breaks are probably her biggest flaw in battle. xD

Lol. I meant like Doom of the Living and Bloodfest. They are very good limit breaks. Not the best, but quite good. And my Yuffie isn't at as high a level as my Tifa and she still does more damage than her with her ultimate weapon.

All I can say is her final limit break is the most underrated one in the game. I trained her up to about lvl86 and she was flatout monterious.

AG you're one of the people who often leaves her out of polls :P.

Yuffie is my favorite character in FFVII. One of the reasons I like her is that she is not involved in the love triangle and her purpose in the game is not to be a love interest for the main character. Sure you can get a date with Yuffie, but it's much more difficult than Aerith or Tifa's dates.

And I liked using her in battle because she was long range and I could put her in the back row.

I really dont know wtf you're talking about, the only reason Yuffie is "weak" is because when you recruit her she's a couple lvls lower than your party. Level her up a bit and she does just as much damage as anyone else. Yuffie's limits were fine too. If you wanna talk about shit limit breaks then look at Tifa, Cait Sith, or Vincent. Vincent's is actually semi-useful since it doubles his HP, but it sucks not being able to control him.

Most useful limit breaks though...were those of Cloud and Barret.

Maybe because she was a side character, she's not even shown in the ending and she has no connections, except from what happened in Wutai. Vincent, also a side character, is different. He has connections, like he was an ex-Turk, he loved a Shinra scientist named Lucrecia and the like. But she's really strong, her limit breaks were awesome and her Conformer pwns, she's really useful.

I liked the fact that Yuffie was a side character. And I thought it was even cooler how she comes outta nowhere then steals as she leaves. She IS a strong character but often overlooked because of less involvement with the "main" storyline. But Vincent was a side character as well and he got alot of recognition but he is better :P

Oh, I did. I had her at around level 80 when she was that weak. When I had any other character at that level, they were infinitely better than her.
Cait Sith has the most underrated Limit Break. Everyone seems to ignore the fact that one combination can kill all enemies instantly. But people only ever look at the fact that it could do the opposite and kill your party.
Vincent's were good, but granted there were more useful and damaging ones.

True, but i think her and the inclusion of the Wutai sidequest were intended to show the impact that ShinRa was having on towns, even in distant, secluded ones.

Really? O_O Well then...ouch.

I didnt even know Cait Sith had a limit break that'd kill your party <.< I just hated it because it was too hard to get his one-hit KO and i just plain hated the roulette Limits anyway.

Well there's the fact Aerith dies, and the fact Tifa is involved in basically half of the gameplay, eg at Mideel etc.. whereas Yuffie has one sidequest and that sidequest happens to make her out to be an irritating character. She seems nice and I think they deliberately made her a kind of main character in Dirge of Cerberus to give us a chance to actually get to know her.
She was just another character to me, not one of my favourites.

He has good features? Like what? I never used him. Ever. I took one look at him and went "PHAIL"

Yuffie had good features...i guess...she was better than Tifa, but still overshadowed by Vince, Barret and Cloud (the three i always use).

I liked Cait's character, probably because of the whole "z0mg, spy who turns good" kind of stuff. Though the scene at the end of the Temple of the Ancients was painfully chessy. And conveniently, Cait Sith #2 comes along...
