  • It is a form of cowardice to launch into a diatribe in a debate forum and then say that you refuse to give anyone else a chance to respond to you. That's trying to control the discourse.

As for why it's emotional, no one can ever be 100% safe from everything. There's no objective way to prove it, and as long there is one other person on the earth, there is the chance that that person will do something bad. So it's not "factual." It's a subjective, unfalsifiable argument based on the emotional response of fear. Using words like "madman" also preys on fear. And really, "looking danger in the face"? That sounds like something straight out of a comic book.
"Let me tell you this: If you can assure me, 100% gaurantee, that me and my family will never, ever be in danger, that no one will EVER hurt us, then I will hand in my guns right now. If you can ensure complete and total safety, I will have no need of my gun. There would simply be no use for it anymore."

"Some of us have to look danger in the face everyday"

"Madmen walk into schools with death on their mind"

"You just said that I am responsible for the deaths of children merely because I want the right to protect myself and my family."

But sure, I'm the one arguing from emotion. Also, I never used the words "stupid," "paranoid," or "baby-killer." So. Let's just end that right now.
I didn't "twist" anything you said. I responded to it and provided reasons why it's wrong. There's a difference.
But that's exactly the point, if crime figures are similar between the UK and the US then it's a clear illustration of why having a society armed with guns is entirely unnecessary and unsafe. Crime stays the same but fatalities goes through the roof when guns are factored in.
I don't think your average citizen is a psychopath I just don't trust the average citizen with such life changing responsibility. Living in Britain where crime isn't rampant is enough of a reason for me to believe the US would be no different without guns in households.
Yeah people dont understand that simlicity can be beautifull in its own way. The only thing i do not approve of and never will is when people use stock photos of something that is already heavily manipulated and then add a few layers. Thats simplistic but its also cheating yourself. If a stocks been already heavily eddited it should remain how it is. I dont like when people use photos like that and claim they made that sig. If it was me i be mentioning before hand what i didnt make on it etc.

But yeah simplicity can be just whats needed :ryan: People just pass it off as oh he didnt so anything so it doesnt count as GFX. When i enter the graphics challenges sotw etc. I never ever read the comments people leave. Ive won sotw 15 times and after my 5th win i learned to stop reading what people say. Sometimes the bad comments have theyre way of annoying you and upsetting so i just ignore them. I dont even look at how many votes i have :lew: Im a strange one.
That sounds pretty cool, how do you like it?

I'm really not doing much lately. I've been acting, taking pictures, writing lots. The good stuff, I guess.
Any time, I speak only truth~

School is keeping me busy as well. What are you studying?
    UM. HEY. WHAT'S UP.

YOU'RE STILL MY FAV POSTER......JUST GONNA ADD THAT 1 IN

    c ya
No worries, Cait. Didn't want anyone to think it was about not helping if the rule became optional. I just want both sides of the Clan respected, and I feel like we gotta compromise in order to get to that point. Has nothing to do with help, so anytime, babe. ♥
No problem :ari: Nice job gurl :ryan:

Oh I do the same thing xD Hear a song on the radio "Wow...that really reminds me of Vincent" :cali: and once I saw a dude who reminded me a lot like Cloud and I was so close to going over and asking him if he ever heard of Final Fantasy :wacky: I think the people with the biggest lives are the ones who think about the otherworldly impossible. (aka...video games :lew:)
What? lol :wacky: "Even up the score"? :lew: It was just something a fan said... what's to be even about it? :lew: The entire thread is dominated by both sides equally... so, :wacky: & Nah, I don't mind. Jus' came off like you were steppin' to me to debate something, which I would have no problem with but I know how you don't like to debate it which was why I was just perplexed by why you said it. :lew:

    Now I know. ;))

    Toodles :ari:
