I'd say my favorite villain in the game to play with is Sephiroth and my favorite to fight against is Jecht. Jecht can be a real challenge because once he connects one attack, you pretty much just put down the PSP and wait until the combo chains finish lol.
Oh, actually one fighter I despise...
^ same. I don't understand the point of this topic. The rules are fine, it's the people who are breaking them you have issues with. Have a moderator talk to them about this, and if they choose to continue their behavior, then have an administrator ban them.
I think Vanille is the only character that I felt annoyed with from start to finish. She's weak, indecisive, has an inconsistent accent, and has mood swings. The only thing people seem to like her for is being "pretty". Considering how SE designs female characters, I'd say Vanille is average...
I didn't get into the Final Fantasy series until the PS2 age came about. I actually played FF8 before the others and guess what? I didn't like it. It was boring, it was slow, and while I loved most of the characters, the story itself gave me little incentive to play all the way until the end...
Ok new question: who else likes fighting Shantotto?
She's so pompous and annoying. I love using Cloud and breaking through her defense, knocking her around the map. It's like beating up a whiny teddy bear with a huge sword. Sometimes, I'd even refrain from landing any HP attacks until I get...
Not that I have anything against Mosques...but why on ground zero? That to me is as random as putting a Blockbuster store there. It just doesn't make sense. Ground Zero is a memory for many people in more ways than one. It was the tallest building in New York. It was a place of business...
I was kind of torn between IV and VII. I always look for the memorable heroes and the memorable villains. I think these two games do well with both. The character development is different in both, but they're done really well. You can't help but cheer Cecil on as he tries to fight off his...
I personally would like to have the score remastered instead of using the AC one. That one was a "rock n' roll + techno" and that would feel a bit out of place in FF7. I wish I could get a direct link, but listen to this song:
http://www.playlist.com --> Search "Jenova" --> Pick the first...
Another important thing that the last two comments reminded me of: retain decision making. I have never had Cloud picked by Don (always Tifa) so I didn't have to watch that segment play out. I have never even watched the possible Mukki rape scene. To be honest, I'd like to have the option of...
Yeah I was really hoping that he'd stand up and fight against Chaos in the end with the rest of the Heroes. Everyone on the good side seemed to have some level of darkness or burden that they carry. Don't really know what's stopping him.
Yeah, I was also under the impression that Vincent was free of Jenova cells from the beginning. Cloud, Genesis, and Weiss should be the only ones carrying it after DoC. However, I honestly now think that Sephiroth will only come back when Square-Enix wants him to come back. If they quit...
I have the original one for Gamecube and it was fun playing co-op (although a pain in the butt to get multiple GBAs). The story was pretty non-existent except to find the creature causing Miasma. The graphics were beautiful, though, and it was fun. Not perfect, but fun.
lol or at least watch video reviews because they all complain about the tight linearity. The game starts to open up around...Chapter 10??? It's just a big grassy plain with a bunch of enemies, but it's the closest you'll get to free roam. No real towns or anything. Just play it for the story...

um...I think I'll dare...
***Below is pure speculation***
It's not Cloud who's responsible for Sephiroth's return. Having JENOVA's cells might give someone consciousness in the afterlife (similar to the Cetra) which would explain why we see Angeal, Zack, and Sephiroth all pretty active...
I kind of think of it as life on Gaia would never exist without lifestream (because the planet wouldn't exist). The Bible says that Adam was born from the dust of the ground, so when he died, he returned to the earth. I think it's the same concept here (except Cetra can be sentient after death).
lol oh my. Any tips on how to use magic based characters? I'm starting to use Cecil a lot so I consider that to be somewhat of a transition, but I still suck with spell casters. I'm a melee fighter at heart lol.
A PS3 Slim costs $299 which is the exact same price tag a 360 Elite holds. You can no longer purchase new, normal XBox 360s (at least not at Best Buy) nor can you purchase the original PS3. Therefore, go with the PS3 since it will be cheaper overall. There's internet browsing, a wireless...
