Jenova is to blame first and foremost. But Shin-Ra and their greed for power and money comes next. Sephiroth was merely a by product of these two things. That by no means excuses his actions but were it not for those before him he would never have acted as he did or perhaps even existed at all...
I got Aeris to learn Great Gospel once and once only. Most of you will know why I did that. It is cool for a 1 off so you can see it and say you have done it but quite honestly it is pointless. You can do the game just fine without using her at all...better even. The exp she steals (having her...
Lucky 7's mean you go into a rage n' hit 7777 again and again. After battle you are left with 1 hp so that you can't carry it over to another battle. I have had this happen once or twice randomly in all the times I have played. It is extremely rare unless you specifically set a character up...
Ah some one with a conscience. Unexpected... :)
Well the end rarely justify the means. And yes a great number of people would have suffered. Granted what they did was wrong in that they did far greater damaged than what they achieved. And given that they had no prior knowledge of their fate its...
The materia system was my fav too. Although if you had made the master materia's you could have any and all characters maxed to the extreme. The system in FFX I suppose was a cut down version but that could be used on basically all characters as well. FFVIII was a little different I guess.
I beat Emerald without the Mime KoTR/2x summon trick. Its more than possible it just takes a lot longer. At least having Mime or 2X summon without KoTR helps but its still possible without. Make sure your team can take a heavy hit and have Final attack - Revive on at least one character if at...
Well its never happened to me. Resetting the game or entering a town like others have suggested seems a good idea. Failing that. Try a different approach. If you have more than 1 saved game (and you really should) try going to Ruby before Emerald or try going on a Chocabo rather than by air.
Interesting. Every person (real or otherwise) has the capacity for great good or great evil. For some, one will come easier than the other regardless of upbringing, though that has a great deal to do with it. I reckon Sephiroth gave into feelings of rage and hatred and also a feeling of finally...
First off I will admit to not reading any of this thread so..err sorry. The 2 remaining members of Avalanche helped Cloud save the planet. So any damage they did along the way was acceptable. What mattered most was saved..in the end that's all that really matters.
Well Aeris is the one you would wanna marry and Tifa is the one you would wanna futt before you met Aeris. To put it crudely. I got Aeris first time round and I was most distressed to see her die.. LOL
Its Cloud for me. He starts off with a dream of being a Soldier and fails but when Strife (wink) in his life hits a max he shines through. One man conquers his own demons, the worlds problems and achieves something greater than he could have ever hoped for. Its what story's are made of. In some...
Any character on high level and well equipped is of value. But quite simply Cloud is the best. He can deal massive physical damage and can hold a great deal of magic too on top of being able to tank a fair bit of damage, both physical and magical.
I always liked to think she stayed alive until Vincent visited her letting her know that Sephiroth was presumed dead/ possibly alive as weird shit was going down ( Ican't remember clearly what he says at that point of the game). And after he left she had nothing to hold onto so just faded away...
I think it could have gone several different ways. Whatever happened he would have been one messed up dude. The call of the Jenova cells is strong, perhaps stronger in him than Cloud as Sephy was born with them and Cloud wasn't. So it may have played out just the same. He might not have been...
I basically agree. The hardest most badass mother hubbard around runs some fool through with his huge sword and he doesn't die? I'd be shocked too. Cloud used his rage and his strength of will to throw Sephiroth into the Mako..and he survived to boot. Hence why Hojo saw the potential of...
It is not cheating. Lets face it Cloud on level 99 can kill Sephiroth on his own pretty easily without Knight of the Round. It is an easy way out but then you had to really play the game to get that materia in the first place. The first time I played them game when I was a teenager I missed...
Hmm well what to say. Square-Enix would make a silly and outrageous amount of money should they make a remake and one would think that was enough for them to. But they haven't. Is it because they are now crap I wonder? Everything from FF I to X was classic. Square was great. Squaresoft was...
Cloud outstripped Zack in every way. He was the ONLY one capable of defeating the legendary Sephiroth...period. And he did it more than once. So Zack died and didn't get to reach his true potential..so what? Even if he had lived, Cloud had more inner strength..more fight in him. Where Zack...
