The DLC will expand upon her battle against antagonist Caius, as well as featuring a battle system different to the game’s regular battle system.
Lightning story DLC has been teased before by Famitsu, who said previously it would reveal “the hidden truths” behind the endings of the RPG.
No word on an exact date or pricing as yet.
Thanks, Siliconera.

!! Awesome :O I wanna know more about Lightning and Caius' fight since we mostly only see them fight at the beginning of the game D: I'd love to know what twists and turns Lightning had to face while she was waiting for her sister to get her bum over there XD.

Looking forward to this DLC :O

The Lightning story DLC sounds interesting. Especially with a different battle system than that of the game's regular one. Looking forward to it.

I wonder if the battle system will be like third person action or something

haha not exactly. I was thinking more along the lines of Devil May Cry or something. I still think it would have been awesome if they would have made that FFVII sequel that was rumored to be Devil May Cry, but with Cloud.

Square Enix will release PSICOM Officer Jihl Nabaat as a downloadable coliseum opponent for Final Fantasy XIII-2 in Europe on March 13 for Xbox LIVE and on PlayStation Network a day later – the same day it launches in Japan.
It will run players £1.59 / € 1.99 / 240 Microsoft Points.
Considering past download content release schedules, it’s likely the content will launch on March 13 on both PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE in North America for $2.99. Square Enix has confirmed it will release in North America for $2.99 on March 13.
Also announced, the first Lightning episode, “Lightning’s Story: Requiem of the Goddess,” will launch in mid-May. Pricing and other details will be shared at a later date. The content was announced for Japan earlier this week.
New screenshots of the Jihl Nabaat content can be seen at the gallery.

Final Fantasy XIII-2′s Jihl Nabaat DLC Is Out In English Next Week, See It Inside [Update]

By Ishaan . March 8, 2012 . 9:02am

Update: Square Enix USA have confirmed March 13th release date for Jihl Nabaat in North America as well. 240 Microsoft Points and $2.99 on PlayStation Network. Lightning’s Story: Requiem of the Goddess in May. Noel and Serah’s bonus weapons are now available in North America, too.

Square Enix Europe have announced that the coliseum battle DLC against PSICOM officer, Jihl Nabaat, will be released day and date with the Japanese version, in Europe.

The Xbox 360 will see the DLC on March 13th and PlayStation Network a day later on March 14th. The Jihl Nabaat DLC will cost 240 Microsoft Points or £1.59 / € 1.99, depending on which region you live in and whether you’re playing on an Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3. Since Square have been releasing major Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC worldwide at the same time, North America will likely get Jihl next week, too.

Additionally, Square Enix also confirmed the English title of the upcoming Lightning story DLC. It will be called “Lightning’s Story: Requiem of the Goddess,” and like in Japan, is slated for a mid-May release. Square haven’t announced a price so far.

Finally, the DLC weapons for Noel and Serah are available today, too. You can read about those on Square Enix Europe’s blog.

The latest DLC for Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be available on the 360 through Xbox LIVE Marketplace today and tomorrow the 14th March on the PSN for the PlayStation 3, to keep you updated on all the relevant news we have some informative details that might be of assistance to fans of the Final Fantasy franchise.
The new downloadable content pack for Final Fantasy XIII-2 will feature PSICOM Officer Jihl Nabaat as a coliseum opponent and for the Xbox 360, this will amount to 240 Microsoft Points, and PS3 users will be able to obtain the DLC for £1.59 GBP. In an article on Electronic Theatre information of the latest content is documented along with plans of DLC episode Lightning’s Story: Requiem of the Goddess, which will be coming out sometime in the middle of May although we have no details on the price yet.

The new downloadable content is reported on Game Trailers.com as they also look back at Jihl Nabaat in Final Fantasy XIII and remember how hard she was as a character. In the same fashion as other FFXIII-2 DLC Jihl Nabaat will be able to put towards your party after defeat. In other Final Fantasy XIII-2 related news a recent report on games sold in the UK found this to be the top-selling title throughout last month even though unit sales and software revenues were down.
Gamesutra talk about the UK retail market and how it has been flagging of late with Game Group finding the situation to be a big concern for them as they have found this year to be incredibly tough. Apparently, dozens of stores have closed down along with nearly 50 employees at its headquarters now laid off. There is even news that they have been unable to stock certain releases because of supply problems and the month of February did not help matters with unit sales across all UK retailers dropping by 29% year-over-year to 2.3 million copies. In comparison to last years sales, the revenues for last month were nearly 25 percent less, which is not good news for those hoping the UK economy was going to start to pick up.
Only a few weeks ago we looked at some of the rewards the latest Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC has to offer and viewed the Sazh’s Heads or Tails trailer although this content has not overly impressed. Will you be expecting more for the latest DLC?

Jihl was fairly tough. Harder than Lightning and Omega for me anyways
