[09/05] Disasterrific! Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster screens debut

That's an interesting comparison shot. It really makes the difference seem a lot smaller than I thought. The lighting is really the biggest difference. I wouldn't worry about the railing, since these are WIP screenshots and those obviously just have placeholders applied right now. Another thing is that this is a cutscene screenshot, which isn't quite fair. The PS2 version of the game had way more detailed character models for cutscenes than for gameplay, whereas the HD remaster will have high-detail models throughout. But I do agree the remasters have a bit of an odd feeling about them. Seeing everything smoothed out without really getting more detail takes all the realistic aspects of the graphics and makes them feel more cartoony. I'm getting used to it, though.

Hot damn! What a difference! I like what they did to the trees and sky in the HD remake, however, what they did to the railing behind them is total bullshit. It looks so plain and boring now. They def should have kept the design they had on it. I also like the hair better in the HD remake too (on all of them). The arms look better in the HD version too (Yuna in particular is noticeable here). Everything else is kinda meh. I don't mind the rest.

[h=1]Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster May Not Include The Last Mission[/h] By Spencer . May 10, 2013 . 2:12am

When Square Enix put together Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix they made some tweaks to make Kingdom Hearts control more like Kingdom Hearts II and included all of the bonus content from the Final Mix version.

Final Fantasy X-2 was re-released with extra content in Japan too as Final Fantasy X-2 International + Last Mission. This version of the game adds three more dress spheres (festivalist, psychic, and bare) and a whole extra "Last Mission" episode that takes place three months after the events in Final Fantasy X-2. Last Mission has a massive tower to climb and conversations that act as an epilogue for many characters in Spira. Famitsu specifically says whether Last Mission has been included or not in Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster is "undecided." Perhaps, Square Enix will release this as DLC?

Final Fantasy X-2 International + Last Mission also has Creature Create mode where you can capture and train monsters. It’s basically the source of inspiration for Final Fantasy XIII-2′s battle system where the third character can be a monster or if various captured characters like Snow.

Famitsu says the FFX-2 remaster is based on the North American version
of FFX-2 International + Last Mission
Creature Create was not in the original released and added in
The status of the "Last Mission" which takes place 3 months later is undecided
for the HD remaster version

I don't mind if the extra content in X-2 is DLC. I never had that version of the game so I wouldn't mind paying for that. The only DLC I won't accept and will make me not buy the game is the X international stuff, because I already have it and I'm not paying that extra for something I already have, I'm also not buying a game that has less content on it than the version I've already got. They'd be rather stupid to try that with any of the people in Europe though imo. Why would anyone want to buy a game with less content on it than the version they already have?
