It looks really good. I like the battle system, robot-controlling and exploration. I think I am buying a PS3 just for this game :wacky:

I am so excited both for XIII-2 and versus XIII :)

Okay everyone...I'm putting this Versus trailer up because its Mirrored (SE doesn't seem to take down the mirrored trailers that are on YouTube)...and because there are English subtitles for those of us who don't speak/understand Japanese...so you can really get a better idea of whats going on in the video:

Thank you so much for this :jess:

/needs jap speaking lessons XD

Also I'm beginning to think the armored woman at the end could be Stella :hmmm:

Thanks for putting the subbed trailer up Melody. I have an idea of what is going on now even though it did say in the description we saw at first xD. Looks Like Noctis is being hunted down by someone. Stella really needs a voice sometime soon though. At one part they are talking about Etro. Also the guy tat was driving Noctis is the beginning is the same guy on the throne we see later on.. Could this be a betrayal?

EDIT: Ignore the last part

Hey Miyuki really? Was it the same guy? I thought the driver was a bit younger and cooler looking..why would a king drive the prince around..I dont think its the same guy.

Also that man with white hair is looking crazy, straight up menace..I think he is more badass than Sephiroth :giggle: just based on his looks....xD

PS. Why does Noctis seem so emo :ffs:

You think so? I didn't see Noct's driver on the throne but I agree that he's probably being hunted. From what I'm guessing an opposing kingdom is trying to take his over and I've got a feeling that since Noct is a prince and one guy on the throne doesn't want to give over the crown to anyone else might mean he's Noct's father o__O but that's just my own assumption XD King-prince connection...I hope we get more info on this game soon :3

Oh wait you are right they are not the same guy... My eyes were just playing tricks on me. :ffs: Right ignore completely what I said above about the betrayal.
The silver haired dude with the gun.. who was he pointing the gun at? Also sorry for my stupid mistake. I am kind of thinking now how a King would be a chauffeur and King at the sametime. :lew: The armored woman could be Stella.. you never know. But does she not fight with a Rapier?

Rapier is Stella's weapon of choice but maybe it evolves into a lance thing and she gets armour in some kind of ultimate form thing? I dunno but they said Stella is an unfortunate enemy of Noct, and the person in the armour looked blonde to me :hmmm:

Yeah that white hair dude is pointing his weapon to someone unknown as well :P
That character almost looks like the King of the throne, but he is not. This guy looks younger and more friendly..also awesome char. he seems very kind but yet strong as fuck xD Hope he is controllable.

I hope that woman is not Stella :gasp:

I am a bit concerned after looking at the subtitled version...........I don't mean to make you angry, but Noctis almost sounds as if he's boasting about his new powers and is giving that boyish attitude.........But after seeing the ending with the glasses guy talking and Noctis talking about revenge, maybe something happens mid-game and he changes his attitude to like we saw him in previous trailers unemotionless. :hmmm: (I prefer main characters like that)

I saw a subbed version of this trailer after I watched it on the livestream, and Noctis sounds kind of like a...douche :wacky:

Seriously, he's talking about how powerful he is and his entourage is telling him to quit it-it's funny xD

But yeah, looking pretty kewl. I've been looking forward to this game for a long while now. I'm hoping it'll get out in 2012.

I'm also looking forward to kicking back and laughing at all the bashing the game's gonna get for not being a traditional FF game like FFXIII wasn't.

A game head up by Nomura, staff from Kingdom Hearts working on it, and music done by Yoko Shimomura...Oh yeah, classic Final Fantasy.

Yeah, I'm just gonna, you know, enjoy the game and not think about gaming politics, but that's just me ;D

Looks like the King is Noctis's father. Now I am not sure if he is a villian or anything. This kind of explains him well http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/King_Caelum. If we do have a Father and son battle that would be interesting. I am going to guess no main villian has been revealed yet. I imagine in further trailers this will happen. But this could be a huge battle as he doesnt want Noctis on the throne.

Had the original Final Fantasy XIII had this game play, it would've been great.

Seriously, screw gameplay. The best games have amazing stories.
That just sounds wrong to me. I mean, the best novels have amazing stories. The best movies may have amazing stories, but games? Shouldn't the best games have amazing gameplay?

Speaking of the white haired man, I wonder if he is supposed to be replacing the blond who Noct was getting ready to face off with in the earlier trailer...the one who pulls his hood down and we never got a look at their face.

Lots of people are complaining about the look of Noct because he looks so different from the previous trailer... i.e. the one where he meets Stella...and this is what I'm talking about:
dbih79.jpg

I don't think he looks so doll-like anymore with his porcelain skin and his features are more defined now. Oh well...people have always got to find something to complain about...

...and I also hope the armored woman isn't Stella. I don't think the whole armor thing would be her thing ...she just seems like another boss...although she looks very cool :awesome:

Ohhh Ohri ...cut him just a bit of slack. I think he looks like he's deep in thought most of the time because he's got some real problems. His dad doesn't trust him enough to give him his spot...and he's like Haley Joel Osment in the Sixth Sense where he sees things having to do with dead people (lol, ridiculous I know, still, I had to say it....:awesome:)...In addition to the formalities of being born into a royal family...I'm sure he doesn't want all the trouble that ensues with claiming his spot on the throne and would rather live a normal life. I'll give him a chance before I go labeling him.

Not all the time, and certainly not with FF games. Games are another medium to tell a great story, which is especially true of the FF series which focuses heavily on it. They are essentially story games in my eyes.

The gameplay amongst most of the older FF games is essentially the same or at least very similar, but it's the context in which it takes place that makes someone either love or hate the game.

I agree. Story is most important in a game to me. Hence why I loved Nier so much.

I kind of always got the vibe that Noctis was sort of full of himself. But in this trailer, especially at the end, he looks fed up or pissed off. Ill have to watch the subbed version. I think its probably how he is. He's the son of the mafia boss essentially. He has a false sense of power because of his status (or maybe he is that strong). He's young and thinks he is invincible. But like all people who have that attitude, they get knocked down a peg and start to look at things differently.

Well...Since the user who posted the video that I posted earlier took their trailer down...here is another one in HD that is subbed...for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. Subbed lets you understand whats going on...that its in HD is a bonus :wacky:
