Wow, that's quite a difference in texture! I love the added detail for that monster. I'm sure all of the other monsters will be just as improved! :]

And now I have a better idea of how different the old and new Yuna models look. It certainly looks more polished. Can't expect much since they're essentially still using the same models, right? Not making completely new ones, so it's pretty good for what they're working with! :3
 
I really like the changes they have made to Yuna based on the first screenshot! I am less keen on those made to Tidus and his hair. :sad3:

The textures and colours look very polished, particularly the render of Yuna. The original colours used around her belt look rather garish! The monster also looks more scaly and disgusting. :lew: In the original, it appears to have soft, felt-like skin!

the difference to me is slight, i just don't see that great of a difference. but then again, i don't know that much about video game textures so what looks like a little to me could be a lot to the people who know what they're doing. :lew:

still, can't wait for it.

Yuna looks gorgeous in that screenshot. Wow we can really see the improvements and it just makes me want this HD port more. Normally I would think something like this is in the "meh" area.. but they actually did a good job. Yuna's model looks much better and I can notice the differences. My main incentive to get this game is pretty much to see how beautiful it looks and because of trophies that I enjoy collecting. It will prove to be a challenge. As I have said in a previous thread... there are way too many games on my mind and since I am going to be working my arse off in University, I probably will not have time to get everything. :sad3:

Yeah, I want to see some gameplay of the hd port in action.
 
Wow at first I couldn't see much an difference in Yuna but now I see it. I can't wait for this game to come out so I can feel all old and stuff.
 
I do miss Tidus' hair the way it was before. Not sure why they changed it when Yuna's seems very much the same. I will still be getting the game though, since there is definite improvement and I like the idea of having trophies :D
 
The difference is minimal at best.

I really want to replay X again but can't bring myself to do it because I know this'll be out soon...but pictures like this make me want to not bother wasting my money.

The difference between Tidus's hair are not that difference. The only difference is one looks more fake. They also retouched the faces. I see significant differences between Yuna's face and Tidus's face.

Lets take a look at Tidus from back then:

His hair looked more fake then. And its not a huge difference to even complain about it (outloud at least)
Plus i always hated his face...but...in the new one, he looks handsome and older.
 
I honestly don't see much of a difference aside from a slightly sharper look with a bit more clarity. Honestly, isn't that all that happens with HD retouching? Just slight enhancements here and there? Yeah, I think that's all that happens. I'm not saying it's a bad thing when you look at the HD remasters that have been released in the past, but here I see little to no difference. Like stated, it's just a bit more clearer in the pixels and the overall sharpness is increased, but just a tad. In either case, can't wait for it to be released. It's definitely one of the collections that I'll be pre-ordering when I get the money and/or the release date is set.
 
You probably aren't going to notice a big difference until you see it on an HD TV. The pictures posted hear have been re-sized. I'm sure that the graphics are going to be increased more than just a tad when the game is released.
 
They loved it enough to cripple XIII for it.

(No hate toward XIII, sweet game. But had potential way higher than the 360 would allow :()
 
Idk if it's just me, but these updates dont even really look like updates to me in graphics. Atleast not enough to warrant paying for full price for it. X's graphics were already beautiful enough. An HD remake is kinda pointless IMO.
