Rumour: Eidos Montreal’s next game features three main characters, swords

Details of Eidos Montreal’s next game have appeared on Siliconera, mentioning the appearance of swords and three main characters.

The post itself is vague in specific detail on the setting or genre.
The three main characters mentioned in the Siliconera story feature “a 30 year old explorer” who is in love with someone called Nova.
Nova is apparently in need of saving, apparently, so the explorer and Nova search for an “architect” who can save her. Step up the mercenary, the third main character.
The mercenary is 25 years old and is described as a “dark beauty” and “femme fatale”. According to Siliconera, she’s “happy to help the hero out, but she has her own agenda too. She likes to flirt with the Hero and has a habit of turning on people. The mercenary views “Nova” as a rival and all three characters form a love triangle of sorts.”
The site also has what appears to be part of a script from the game.
It’d be likely this would be Eidos Montreal’s new IP that’s in the works alongside Thief 4 following the release of Deus Ex: Human Revolution last August.
When asked what the platforms would be, Siliconera’s source wouldn’t specify, but said details would emerge shortly.

I've seen the Siliconera report which has a little bit more on the details, and well, I guess it sounds mildly intriguing. There's something about a nebula, your protagonist is a navigator of the world and he has a sword and shield. At first I was imagining Eidos's own take on Uncharted, especially when I saw the words "explorer", "architect" and "love triangle", but it does seem to be its own thing. Anywho, it's always nice to see new IPs, and with Tomb Raider under the company's belt too, I'm interested to see what Eidos makes out of this.

And wow, we're really loving that femme fatale trope, aren't we? Pretty sure I've seen a similar vague plot like this somewhere before...

why wouldn't you tell us what platform it is on? How can holding that info be of any benefit?

I think they want a piece of the fantasy universe similar to Elder Scrolls, Dragons Age, Dragon's Dogma, etc etc etc.
So sad they can't do something like this with FF. So they start another IP hoping to get lucky this time around.

Im interested. Since SE took over Eidos, Id say their games have become more interesting to me. Or maybe they just have a bigger budget and stronger direction because of it. Either way, some of their games re sounding pretty good.
