The latest Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC has been revealed in this week’s Famitsu.
Following Giglamesh and PuPu from a couple weeks ago, Snow Villiers (FFXIII-2 version) and Valfodr (true form of the Arbiter of Time) enter the scene. No details have been shared yet as far as pricing or release date, but we’ll be sure to update you on that when the time comes.

Why would you fight Snow though? I dont quite understand that point

I think, like Lightning DLC fight, that Snow is just a replica of the real one. The Coliseum is a place where souls or replicas of strong monsters and heroes gather to fight.

Or you can take it as a fighting game, where even friends can fight each other if you choose to.

Or... there might be a completely different canon reason. Who knows.

Snow and some random monster that looks like he came out of Abe's Odyssey.

Searching for a care to give....

Nope. Nothing has come up.

Valfodr looks like the things nightmares are made from... and DOES remind me of a mudokons... well, a metal one anyway. Or a Slig...

[18/04] Final Fantasy XIII-2 Snow and Valfodr Download Content Detailed

A few additional details on Final Fantasy XIII-2's Snow and Valfodr download content have surfaced from Famitsu.com and our usual early Famitsu source,Sokuho@Hokanko.

As detailed earlier in the day, the Snow and Valfodr download content will be released on the May 15th. Famitsu does not list a price.
Snow will have a new episode. The idea behind the episode came from the game's female staffers, character modeling director Hideo Kubota told Famitsu. The episode, whose theme is "Don't fight for me," will show the feelings Snow and Serah have one for one-another.
Director Motomu Toriyama said that the episode will clear up some mysteries behind the coliseum itself. We'll also apparently learn about Snow's mission as a L'Cie.
Valfodr appears in the second half of Snow's episode. He appears to be quite the foe, with the ability to use weapons, magic and summons. You'll apparently have to defeat him multiple times throughout the episode. Each time, he comes back at higher level and with additional abilities.
According to Toriyama, Valfodr was added to the game with the idea of having him appear as something like the Coliseum's last boss. He's the strongest opponent you'll face in the Coliseum, and when at his maximum level is the most powerful monster in Final Fantasy XIII-2 as a whole.
Snow has a 30% crystal conversion rate (this indicates how easy it is to make him into a party member). Valfodr's rate depends on his level, but at maximum level the rate is 100% (which should give you an idea of how hard it will be to defeat him).
When in your party, Snow is an attacker with a focus on punches and kicks. Valfodr is a blaster with the same strength as an attacker. Among his learnable arsenal are Hellflame, Hellspark, Hellstorm and Hellfreezer.

Hmm I don't quite understand how the episode works... So do we control Snow or Serah&Noel? Since this is also Snow's episode, the Snow they are fighting couldn't have been a mere replica of the real one, or is it? The 'final' boss thing sounds challenging though.

According to other sources, captured Snow is a Sentinel instead of Commando. Take these sources with a pinch of salt.

You guys Realize Snow kinda winds up in random places when he travels around he may have just wandered into the arena and stayed to train his power against the warriors inside.

and by some odd chance Serah and Noel appear as his next opponents?

I'm REALLY looking forward to having Val on my team if hes the "Strongest" Monster in XIII-2 I also like that you'll have to work to beat him and snag a crystal :0.

I really don't wanna hear about SerahxSnow cause I'm a SerahxNoel person now LOL xD
