I'm always a little sceptical. I mean the originals were great so i'm afraid that some will be improved but some ruined by the remakes. The battle theme sounds ok though.

I kind of like the new music. I am looking forward to hearing the other tracks getting remastered! The graphics are better than I thought too :). Might be getting this.

Just for official reasons, as usual, could you provide the source for the video? Thanks. (If you found this video yourself, link the source to the uploader's youtube channel).

sure, was on my nexus when posting so I couldn't post channel links, done and done ;)

Aw, I absolutely love the beat of the old battle theme! The new version is a bit mellow and melodic. The roughness of the original, the hard notes and the electric-sounding intrstruments make me feel pumped enough to grind. :lew:

It will be interesting to see what else they change and how. To Zanarkand and The Ending theme do not and should not be changed imo! Both contain so much emotion, it would be a shame to see that transform.

... Am I the only one that is tired of hearing news about this game?

Don't get me wrong, the soundtrack sounds nice, but this is a game that they are just doing an update to... HD Remake... Do we really need to hear so much about this game without no release date?

Don't care about gameplay, I already know how it will play.

Don't care about images, I have seen them 1000000000 times when I played it on PS2.

Don't really care about the music, heard it 10000000000000000000 times on the PS2 and on my computer....

I just want the game already!

All they had to do was add the Dark Aeons and Penance to the NA version and for X-2 add the "Last Mission" and Boom! Would of sold a lot!... This will turn into Ver... Sorry XV... "Oh you wanna hear news on this... TOO BAD  "

meh, not too excited. what i like about this is that their hinting some epilogue that could potentially lead to an X-3. also, XV is completely different. this game technically already released.

To be honest, the music wasn't really that good the first time around, and I don't expect it to be any better when an inferior composer who has never made a decent track in his life has mashed it up. I suppose it makes sense to up the quality of the audio, which is definitely noticeable in that video, but giving it what can only be described as a half-arsed remix...well, I've heard better fan remixes. At least they put some effort into it...but I suppose "effort" is a foreign concept here.

I suppose there might be a few good tracks floating around - one wonders if they'll do anything with Hymn of the Fayth; much as I hated FFXIII's and XIII-2's miserable excuse for an OST, I'd like to hear remixes using the vocals used in Ragnarok and/or Caius' theme - but I won't hold my breath.

I actually like the remastered OST more than I thought I would. It still fits the character of the original, but it doesn't sound like it belongs on an SNES anymore. That actually kind of bothered me about FFX the first time I played it--the FMV cutscenes were all so terrifically orchestrated that the MIDI tracks just felt cheap by comparison. To me this sounds more like what should have been there in the first place.

I'm not entirely sold on the new battle music yet. I think after playing a few battles and have gotten used to it though...it'll grow on me, y'know? This has gotten me so hyped ha!
