@Shuce - basically it's music like what was on the old 8-bit consoles. Since all of these games were on the PS1, their music was of higher-quality electronic origin or even real orchestration. Making them all sound like SNES games should be interesting :yay:

EDIT: Just noticed X was on the list, too. Obviously that's not a PS1 game :P

Yeah, I had no idea what Chips were either. lol. Thanks for letting us know Luke.

This sounds awesome! I hope they announce some from FFX soon. :D

Snap, I will definitely be looking into these. I love it when music is retuned into SNES/NES quality. It sounds so awesome. :33 Someone on Youtube did some FF7, FF8 and FF9 music in the FF6 sound engine and they sound amazing, so I have high hopes for this! :D

This might be a stupid question...but what is a chiptune?
I was about to ask the same :lew:

Ah, this sounds pretty cool! :ohoho: thanks for the help! I can't wait to hear the VII tracks redone. :ohoho:

I wonder if it will sound anything like the unnoficial famicon version (assuming it had the same soundtrack)

I don't get it, why would I want to listen to these classic tunes in a retro-eqsue version. The majority of them were created in Midi anyway. Sounds like a culture vulture cash in - I'll pass.

The feeling of nostalgia. Plus they sound good. Though i dont understand why turn it into chiptune.
