Remember when Bravely Default: Flying Fairy was originally slated for 2013 in Europe? That is not the case anymore.

According to the latest financial report from Nintendo, BD:FF has been pushed back to 2014 for Europe. This means that Europeans cannot bask in glory for any longer. Both release windows will now be the same for both NA and EU.

Ouch... That has got to leave a mark on all the cheering. Fleur

i couldn't see how both could've had the same release in the first place. they usually don't have much difference over a week

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo

I seriously might get a 3DS when this comes out. Right now there are a few games I'd like to play on the platform but no killer app. This could be that killer app. Of course I live in the USA, so this change doesn't really affect me. In fact, I had a hard time believing there would be disparity between EU and US releases from the beginning. There's no good reason for it, since both releases will be very similar. And knowing SE I didn't dare hope that the US version would get released early, so this was the most logical expectation. Guess it worked out as I expected :hmmm:

ugh talk about a stab in the heart. My feels. Now I have to wait like super long while Americans have the game earlier LIKE NORMAL

I still haven't gotten over like what ? That year gap between the American release of KH 2 and the Europe release.
:rage:

Kingdom Hearts 2 is an odd exception, i've never seen a game be released so late hardly ever. Still, we shouldn't compare kh2 to every release out there.

Bravely Default i'm unaware if it has voice acting, but if it does (and i'm imagining at a very minimal ammount) i'm guessing, most of the localization is more translation.

SO, i dont understand why they can't share the same range of date. I dont like in europe but i'm guessing that its to add more language options to the game.

So...when is the U.S. release date? This isn't going to affect the U.S. one, is it? I'm confused.

^It has not been announced yet.

Devil Survivor took 3 years to reach the UK and it was buggy because Atlus didn't just let them use the US version as a base.

US and UK being different regions still is stupid as hell just release everything at the same time ffs.

Hrm...

Despite what Nintendo posted in their financial report briefing, Bravely Default: Flying Fairy is still on track for a 2013 release according to a tweet from the official Bravely Default twitter page.

Guess we'll soon see which one is wrong.

If I'm only a little more excited for this, I'm all up for "cheering", but I don't even know if I want a 3DS anymore. Nevertheless, you try being handed the short straw for about 95% of the time. Sony and Microsoft have both decided to abandon region-locking, yet Nintendo clings onto it after an unusual reversal from its DS days. If you're a fan of niche handheld JRPGs, it's enough to make a monster out of anyone.

their a nintendo direct airing at 3PM BST/7AM PDT tomorrow, we will hopfully find out more then

again, not as common as it comes out to unless it has been proven to be popular enough to be released in other regions. despite that, i still don't why Bravely Default has to go through that big of a difference. its several months away when its usually just weeks for these type of games.
