Aerith and her Faith Mark II: Satanism

Well the few things you mentioned there didn't sound like discussions so much as condemnations, pal

Well I don't discuss Islam as much as other religions because I know fuck all about it. Even if I did not a lot about it, most other people here don't so they wouldn't know what I was talking about if I did. I'd imagine it's the same for most people here. The Western religions get discussed much more here because most people here live in the west

Mary was probably 12 when Joseph banged her.

I mean when God banged her.

I mean when he immaculately conceived her.

The times, they are a-changin'.

I understand the second part about it not being as understood as much as western religions so that's why it's not as discussed. But... isn't that more of a reason to discuss it? To educate and learn?

I think so.

Discuss it when we do not know it would only propagate misunderstanding, if some people knew it and discussed it or learnt about it for a while then discussed it yes. Personally I have no interest in learning about it, at least not at this stage in my life.

No sexual acts were done to Mary during her conception. :ari: At least Joseph didn't suck her tongue :ari:

& Muhammad masturbated(rubbed himself) against an 8 year old girl because she wasn't yet the age of sex, he just couldn't wait a year. :ari:

The old testament in the bible is not spotless! Who said it is?

(But Jesus is spotless, though!)

I don't believe bringing up what was written down in the Qur'an is disrespectful, just as I don't view Jesse bringing up Mary's age as disrespectful--or you bringing up stories from the old testament for that matter. You have every right to ask questions about things/situations in the bible. Just because someone brings up a "bad" part of the Bible/qur'an that doesn't mean it is out of disrespect, it's just a question.

The thing is, I allow people to ask me questions about my religion(Christianity) but it's a bit of a double standard that others can't do the same with Islam.

I just want a fair game.

If talk of Islam was truly banned, then what of the Islamic members or people who had been born into Islam? There have been such people here.

I have seen Islam discussed without bans.

What we try to avoid seeing is an assassination of religion.

People do also attack Christianity, sometimes unfairly. Otherwise it can be reactive. Often it can be a way to fight back against the belief held that atheists or agnostics are evil, and therefore the Bible gets quoted to show that there are bad bits there too. Also, as said, there are more Christians in the West, and therefore people are more familiar with it.

What I mean is, the verbal war of challenging questions is really between atheists / agnostics and those of faith. This can be both violent, or just friendly philosophical discourse.

I don't think I've seen any Muslims on this forum attack the Christian faith and teachings.

Aerith's final Limit Break is "Great Gospel". To be fair, the creators of FFVII should have gave her a final Limit Break for each Religion.

Like, "Muhammad's Touch" and "Joseph Smith's Protective Compound" :mokken:
