Alice in Wonderland 2010

Im going to hopefully see it with my mum this week, Shes seen it in 3D and loves it! This is a woman who wont go to the pics at all, so it was amazing she went!!

UGH! I read the book and going to see this was truly a huge let down. If it did not have such potent acting, then it would have no redeeming qualities. The only correlation with this movie and the books/original are the characters. The screenplay was poorly written and the characters were not used as they should have in my opinion.

It makes sense to me that it wouldn't have much in common with the books other than the characters, seeing as how the movie is about Alice returning to Wonderland, rather than he first adventures there. Even so, I've heard some discouraging things. But despite all of that, I'm still planning on seeing this in 3D sometime soon.

This is what I'm thinking exactly.

It's a bit hard to diss the movie because you read the book or saw the previous movies and think that this new movie is nothing like them.

It's about Alice returning to Wonderland so of course it's going to be different.

Though I do understand where people are coming from when they say that the characters don't relate to that of the original.

It is annoying that they try to do things their own way and end up disappointing people because of it.

The only thing that should be different is the storyline. =/

I just saw this tonight in 3D.

It was really good!

We both enjoyed it very much! Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum were quite funny. =P As were the Hare and the Mad Hatter.

It was a lot darker and I quite liked that about it.

The cat was awesome too! I really enjoyed his character. =)

I'd recommend this to anyone. =)

Did anyone else find it odd that they decided
that it was Alice who was the first person to suggest trade with China at the end of the movie?

Seriously, does Disney know their history?

I think i'll be going to see this movie tomorrow with my mom. My friend and i were going to see this movie super baked but he bailed out because another one of our friends didnt wanna go. Still think it would have been cool to see it in 3D just wacked out. Anyways i haven't seen the original and i heard that this movie isn't that great but i've never seen a 3D movie before and i'm excited to wear the glasses :)

I think the slight historical inaccuracy can be excused, given the fact that she travels to a fictional land and meets a talking rabbit.

Has anyone ever read "The Looking Glass Wars" Book Trilogy because that what it felt like.

Don't get me wrong I liked the movie but it just to similar to this trilogy I loved.

Finally went to see it tonight in 3D, and I really enjoyed it. The characters were great, there were some nice references to the book(s) (such as the white flowers in the beginning), and the visuals were really superb. The only other movie I've seen in 3D was Avatar, and to be perfectly honest, I think I was more impressed with it in this movie than I was with that one.

The only thing I thought was strange--and I knew about it going into the movie--was the fact that the characters of the Queen of Hearts and the Red Queen were combined into one character. But it isn't even nearly distracting enough to ruin the experience.

I'd definitely recommend the movie to anyone. Other than people who hate movies, I guess.

Wasn't the best film I've ever seen but it was worth watching. Fantastic cast (as per my facebook status: only Burton can combine Christopher Lee, Johnny Depp, Barbara Windsor, Stephen Fry, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter etc etc!) and a decent story to boot. I was hoping for a remake rather than a sequel but it worked and I'm happy.

I loved this movie to pieces. I went to see the weekend it came out for my birthday, with my aunt, her husband and their kid and my parents. It was neat, and it was slightly darker but still light enough that I didn't feel the need to off myself (like after I watched Precious).

My little cousin, she's three, liked it a lot, but kept shouting things out at the oddest time. When Alice was trying to get the Vorpal Blade, and the big thing (I forgot it's name) was trying to get her, she screamed "spank it's bottom". Other kids did it too, one boy said "that's more like it" near the end. If you've seen it, you'll know what I'm talking about.

I actually bought the soundtrack or whatever Almost Alice was, and was disappointed. The only song that I really like a lot is the Avril Lavigne one and it wasn't all that good!

I really liked it. Lots more than I thought I would as well. I think Im the only person that thinks 3D is a waste of time though....

The story seemed to have no point to it really... but it was still really enjoyable!
