Do you think aliens exist , where ,when and how?
Personnaly i think alien life exists. There is just too many planets in this universe for just 1 to have life on

Space Exploreation Whats your oppinions do think we should continue to explore space or play in safe and stick to earth?

I think there has to be life some where on another planet. The universe is just to big for there not to be.

And I'm sure there is some form of intelligent life out there.

I think there is defenitly alien life forms out there. With all the galaxies and planets and solar systems within them you think where the only life form out there?? NO WAY!! its impossible to think in the whole galaxie or universe we are the only intelligent ones. Now have they visted Earth??? I doubt it... But you never know

of course that there has to be live in other planets, the universe is just too big, in comparition, our planet, our solar system, our galaxy is such a very small part of this inmense universe, thinking that only this little blue planet is the one were life exist is just plain stupid.

Now I think there are aliens, but I don´t believe in those conspiracy theories that they are amoung us, or Roswell or UFO, all that is pure crap, but yeah there is problably smart life out there

I Think Aliens Exist...

I Think Aliens See us As Aliens...

Wondering If We Are Real...

Are They In OUR GALAXY? Thats Debatable...

But In the Galaxy Of Andromeda.. there Deff SOmething there...

Space travel, they Should STOP.. Until the Figure OUt A Way to Travel Faster...

If They Could Get To Neptune In A Couple Months, That Would Be BIG...

No One Can Survive Long Enough To Go to ANother Galaxy...

this is a very interesting and exciting topic...to me anyways
I definitely think that alien life is out there, the universe is just too big for there not to be. I just hope its discovered in my life time, same with faster than light travel so that we can start to branch out in this galaxy and beyond

Okay the thing is... We KNOW there was/is life on other planets. They found bacteria on Mars. What we don't know is the presence of 'intelligent' life. If there is such a thing on another planet, I'm sure it'll look nothing at all like us or any creature we've ever seen.

Well that will depend of their planet, take for example our beloved planet Earth (by the way we should rename it to Water, because 2/3 of it is coverted under it) our Earth is a planet with an incredible diversity of landscapes, terreins, we have, mointains, and deserts, and oceans and forest, cold places, hot places, etc. and you know that the animals that have evolve in this diference areas have evolve different.

In this planet alone there are bast number of espicies, in our present and our past, so is really hard to imaging what apereance an alien could have, if humanoide or what

Yes, I believe there is life out there somewhere. Where? Well, in regards to our own solar system, my educated guess is that Europa and Titan are the objects most likely to harbor some form of life.

And yes, we should definitely continue exploring space.

Okay the thing is... We KNOW there was/is life on other planets. They found bacteria on Mars.

What exactly are you talking about?

What exactly are you talking about?

He said that they found evidence of bacteria in Mars, and bacteria is a form of life just that not an intelligent and rationals form of live, there could be the case that we find "animals" in other planets, and microscopical life as well but intelligent life would be a lot harder to find.

For example thought there are many intelligent animals we consider that only us humans are rational, and that's one especies amoung thousands, you get the idea

Very well-explained. Thanks! ^^

And, as for alien appearance, I highly doubt that aliens will look anything like creatures we know. Even through evolution, creatures look roughly similar, so if intelligent life looks anything like an animal/creature we know, that would mean that lifeform was intelligent before Earth, they moved to Earth, then said, 'Y'know what? We Don't need to be intelligent anymore, so let's devolve!' Which is, though comical, unlikley.

the wow-signal... end of story

for those who don't know this, it was the only radiosignal received that wasn't made by natural fenomenons, it was made by... aliens, it's been confirmed,
the thing is that the signal only contained 1 word... "wow", after that, nothing else have been received, they believe this was a signal made between 2 spaceships, but people can always speculate...

but this sure has proven there is intelligent life, but professor Hawkins, he's some guy who sits in a wheelchair and can't talk but uses some sort of device to talk with a robotic voice, he said we should keep our heads low, because we're... rather primitive compaired to people that are able to come to us(we can't even travel to mars, it's obvious if somebody from an other galaxy is a lot lot more advanced then us, and ohyeah, being able to send a rocket with a robot in it is NOT traveling)
this "primitism"(is that a word) can be either our doom, or can mean they simply ignore us cause we can't mean anything to them

also some guy predicts we'll make our first real contact in the year 2020-2025, lets hope we do... and lets hope if they then answer our calls and come to us, that they come in peace...

also, i read in this topic we don't live long enough to travel to other galaxies, that's in fact true, our lives are way too short, even if we are able to travel at the speed of light, the thing is, our lives are slowly becoming longer... a lot of people are currently reaching the 100+ in the older years this was HIGHLY exceptional, our technology is increasing fast, wouldn't be surprised if we soon find a way to double our lifespan, perhaps a way to stay young for a longer time, once we reach the 1000 mark... perhaps then, we might be able to travel through space on a big scale... perhaps...

But since there are so many variables and estimates, its pretty hard to believe but then again i'm no scientist. Just my opinion though. If we ever could find exactly the amount of how many stars or whatever, this might seem a bit valid. The Drake Equation I mean.

As for alien life, I think its totally possible cause like you guys said its just a vast void out there waiting to be explored. Its just that sadly we're not gonna be able to see it since we're gonna be long gone by the time we make official contact with alien races. Unless something happens otherwise...

I don't care to claim I have theories on this matter, nor read up on anything conclusive. I do, however, find it extremely likely that living organisms like ourselves exist in other Galaxies.

The probably is too great to deny, really. If we were capable of spawning from a series of coincidences, I'm sure it could happen elsewhere. Afterall, the Universe is supposedly infinite.

Afterall, the Universe is supposedly infinite.

I read somewhere that the universe is completely the opposite, Saix.
Its more like a sphere apparently in that we the universe curves into itself like the inside of a ball and that it is expanding. Soon this expansion will rip the universe apart, which subsequently sucks all matter in space back to where it once belonged** That's the Big Crunch (as opposed to the Big Bang)

But yeah, I agree that whatever spawned us might have spawned other beings in the universe as well.

Which is why I said "supposedly." No one can actually prove anything about the Universe, nor life itself in any aspect.

And this theory of it being a sphere doesn't seem logical. For it to be classed as a sphere, there would have to be something outside of it. Considering this is potentially impossible to discover, I'd say the concept of infinity was far more believable, albeit unfathomable.

True. I never even thought of that.
Talk about the next great mystery...:|
I don't even think we'll ever finish this one.

Though I think infinity applies to the 'sphere' theory as well.
I think that was explained away as:

a point inside the 'sphere' traveling at a certain speed. Since the inner rim curves around, it is impossible to tell whether that point is actually circling the sphere's perimeter and therefore it seems that said point is traveling infinitely, since said point cannot penetrate to outside of the sphere. Its traveling in circles.
*Hope that makes sense*

And to make this discussion worse, I read that there was a theory that the universe was composed of multiple spheres. That would be unimaginable.

So basically what I'm saying now is that there probably is a compromise between our two theories.:D

There has to be other life out there, as everyone else who has posted in here has already said, the universe is just too big.

As for furthering space exploration, I think we should. I don't think we should send anyone back up into space until we've advanced the technology a little more, but I think it should definitley be considered.

I've never heard about this whole "universe being a sphere" thing, but it's possible, as is almost anything when you're talking about space.
