Have you ever experianced a Situation. Where a bug just seems to stalk you? like a bee that seemingly follows you where ever you move. Or a spider that just seems like is main focus in life is to be right where you dont want it. (AKA infront of you.)

I just had this experience Just now. I was out picking up some trash tin by backyard. When a bee just so happily decides to fly right into my path and NOT move any other way. i move left it moves left. I couldnt get inside my back door cuz they thing kept blocking me.

(just so you know. im terrified of bugs.)

Any experiences? Post here.

(Ps. Third topic :-)gasp:) Yayz~)

There is one terrifying story I experienced back when I was about 12. It was a PE lesson and we were instructed to do a bit of jogging. Nothing dangerous about that at all, we all thought. We certainly never anticipated what was to come. It was just fortunate that I was towards the rear of the group. We had to climb up this grassy mound and jog along it on the school grounds behind the observatory before climbing back down to the fields. We ended up trampling over a nest of wasps (as far as I recall) in the mound and a swarm of them ended up angrily pursuing us.

I have mild entomophobia and wasps just happen to be one of my biggest fears, so that didn't mitigate anything at all. Being near the rear I was able to quickly run away from the swarm, but I was just terrified as fuck. The swarm just continued chasing us for goodness knows how long and several of my friends and classmates were stung by them. They were mainly the ones ahead in the group and the whole ordeal meant the lesson was cut off and they were taken to the school infirmary. It was moreso pissing them off rather than them simply deciding to stalk us of course, but that's the only recollection I have of being on the run from insects.

I hate bugs...most if not all of them. Mosquitos because they chase you around, bite you, and buzz your ears. The bites take FOREVER to go away if you itch them because you trigger your body's release of histamine so if you can put some anti-itch stuff on and don't scratch them FYI. Asian lady bugs are everywhere now during the fall, and they get into your house and you can hear them hitting the windows and the lights when its nighttime...they bite too :gasp: ...and when you smush them they smell so bad and chemical-like  Gnats are irritating because they try and get up in your eyes and if you buy a house plant they tend hide in there when you buy them and then you bring them home and you have a brood of them in your house in no time...and they are so hard to get rid of :rage:

I also hate anything that stings...like wasps, bees, and hornets. Spiders are sooooo nasty, I hate them...and for whatever reason we always get more of them in the summer. I'll be watching t.v late nights on the nights I have off, and every now and then I'll see one running slyly on the floor in front of tv and I'll have to make a run for one of my slippers or a magazine...and it'll take multiple blows for the dumb things to go down :gonk: Centipedes and silverfish are nasty as well...and you try and kill them and they run so blazing fast that by the time you can run and find something to take them out they are already gone...:hmmm:

Honestly, the only bugs I do like are grasshoppers, crickets, butterflies...and praying mantises :inlove: ...The rest need to stay out of my way...and any encounter with a bug is pretty much a horror story, tbh... :monster:

Well today in the shower I was pinned in place by two spiders, one of them was hanging from the ceiling directly above the spout, and the other took up station at the other end of the shower. I spent my entire time staring up at the one hanging above me as I washed, or nervously retrieving soap and shampoo from the other end. Sadly it turned out the spider by the shampoo was a piece of fluff the entire time

I can relate to this.

One time i was getting ready for a bath. When i saw a Daddy long-legs in the corner. Followed by a another on the ceiling just by the door. When I saw this i ran out of the room and Baricaded the door.

Also I remember When I was about to fall asleep. there was a cobweb in the corner. Me so tired. Thought it was a spider. So i freaked out since the cobweb was infront of my door. When I found out it was a cobweb. I :ffs: for about a hour.

I remember about 8 years ago, while trying to open my living room window, I saw this huge ass bee just flying around near it (Our window was opened halfway). Thankfully there was a curtain and it couldn't fly anywhere inside. All you could see was where it was flying, because it kept hitting the curtain. I pretty much yelled and walked away fast once I saw it.

My dad grabbed the broom, and started hitting the bee. It died, looked pretty disgusting with all the sick blood near our window. I'll never forget that

Yes... in the summer bees just go around chasing everyone. At my grandparents house long ago I was with some of the family outside.. because we were going to eat outside and such. While we wait for the food I stayed on the swing so I can relax and then a bee was right in front of me and I really screamed. The bee started going after me and wanted to sting me.. my heart was pounding pretty bad and luckily I got inside the house before it did. The bad part is that flies were still bugging us outside. Another thing that really makes me scream is when I see spiders passing through my windows, walls, computer screen etc. A long long time ago when I was like maybe 11 at school I was in class and there was a giant wasp on the window sill next to me. All the students were scared as hell. Of course luckily I didn't get stung. The wasp later flew out the window and was gone for good. Still freaky..

Ah, nothing beats bugs in the shower. >_>

My old home used to house all sorts of bugs, including roaches, albino roaches, mosquitoes, ticks, and worst of all giant spiders. I remember taking a bath one time and this huge spider popped out of nowhere (I swear, I kid you not, but this thing was larger than a dinner plate) and I had the horrible task of having to dispose with it. In the end I ended up pouring boiling water over it (since it wasn't moving, just kind of sitting on top of the drain) and had to smash it with a broom. It wasn't pleasant.

Roaches chasing after you while flying are the horrible too. -__-

I don't have a problem with bugs in the shower really. I feel like spiders try to rule my life though.

I was once in my home, having a basic day and my kitchen is made out of hardwood connecting to the outide door. I was on my way out to see what it felt like outside and there was a HUGE black fluff stuck between the cracks of the door. I walked by it twice before realizing what it REALLY was.

I grabbed the nearest bottle of whatever kind of spray I could find and attacked it. It was the size of a freaking quarter! it came running out the crack towards me and I jumped ten feet in the air (well, I swear it was at least.) I kept spraying until it crawled into a ball. And even then it took me like a good 20 minutes just to pick it up, with a shovel mind you, and drop it outside. I went inside and just at there for another hour trying to get my life back together.

Have had to deal with annoying spiders and roaches and silverfish living in FL, and mosquitos are awful of course and I hate them -__- However, the most annoying ones, and the ones which get the most personal with you, are bees/wasps/whatever buzzes and has a damn stinger. You can like, just be walking by, and if you look at one wrong, it takes a personal vendetta against you and tries to kill you :gonk: Have had that happen like a million times, sometimes haven't been able to get in the house because of them, or had to run halfway down the street back and forth while at the bus stop when I was in college because they would hide inside the bus stop signs :ness: They really suck, honestly, I wish pollenation and such could be based on butterflies instead so we wouldn't need bees :sad3: (Not to mention the loopity-loop flying pattern, they're so showing off, I just want to smack them just because of that :mokken:)

I'm sure anyone here who lives in the northern US has them around. They usually hang out in the basement or on outside walls at night. Move like lightning and their hair-like little legs move like blades of grass blowing in the wind. They can bite and apparently pack a little punch but like many other bugs would have a hard time puncturing human skin. They seem to love my guitar stuff because every time I have seen them lately is when I pick it up off the stand and one runs out. They're just creepy.

I had an annoying bug experience the other day!

I was in the bus on the way home just wanting to relax and sleep on the bus or something but there was this huge Bee in there, usually i am not afraid of bees because they leave you alone if you leave them alone but I was in a confined space and the bee was just hovering around me, bumping into my window and freakin me out.

so later when the bus was less full I moved to another seat and the goddamn bee followed me over there too!! He hated me :( All I ever did was respect his bee brothers wishes of being left alone and this is how he repays me??

Wanker :hmph:

Eventually I escaped the bus and the bee and found my way home unstung!

The worst thing about centipedes is when you DO actually kill them their legs still wiggle and wiggle even though they are dead...its...so gross :sad3:

I had a close encounter with a bug yesterday. I got up like I normally do in the early a.m. for work...get ready...then I go out to the kitchen and grab a yogurt and eat it...then I recycle the cup and go to the sink to rinse off my spoon...and theres this spider hiding out in the corner of the sink. So when I turn on the water it jumps up and its trying to get out and I'm like ohhh no...you're going down! :rage: ...so I crank the water to the hot setting and pour water on it with one hand to keep it from climbing up the side of the sink. The water finally gets hot and it stops resisting...and goes down the sink :ryan:

Ugh every now and then we get these annoying little midgy fruit fly things and they just buzz around in your face for ages! You try and swipe them away but they always fricking come back!

They tend to hang out in the kitchen when they're about. I think they like the moisture of the sink or something.

But yes, I'd rather them than a spider any day.

I'm not particularly 'scared' of bugs per say, but they do give me the chillie willies sometimes.

I'm utterly repulsed by cockroaches. I'm sort of accustomed to them because I used to live in New Orleans. These are the 4 inch buggers who fly, hiss, and bite. :S
The've created a sort of cockroach harem there in which they continuously repopulate no matter how many times you smoke-bomb your home. Although...if cockroaches are supposedly immune to nuclear poisons, I'm not really sure how bug gas is supposed to have any effect...

Yeah, I'm not unfamiliar with cockroaches, but like I said, I'm completely repulsed by them. Particularly the sound that's made when you stomp on them. ~*CRUNCH*~

I hate fruit flies too. Those little gnat sized bugs right?
I bought a bag of soil from home depot that was infested with them. It was a horrific nightmare; particularly because I used the soil to pot plants in my office at work. They were swarming my office for weeks. D:

There is only one type of insect that I can't stand: craneflies. So, what kind of insect, whenever they get into the house, is always getting right in my face? Craneflies. They have this nasty habit of just flying right into you, and its always ME they like to fly around. I think its because I tried and failed to trap a daddy long legs spider in a tin can when I was younger (it crawled out of it...and all over my hand) but I've never been overly fond of insects with exceptionally long legs...and these little bastards can FLY, making them even worse.

Other than craneflies, I have a relatively good relationship with insects, since one of my favourite activities as a child was catching them (minus the talking anthropomorphic animal residents and extreme debt, I had a very Animal Crossing childhood) so I've never been particularly afraid of them. So long as they stay out of my face, I have no problem with them.

I do have a resident moth in my bedroom though, which likes to make itself known by flittering around the light or the curtains at night. Every now and then it disappears, and a few days later I get a new one. I'm not entirely sure if its the same moth, or whether I devour them in my sleep...since this has been going ever since we moved here - nine years ago now - I'm going to guess its the latter...

Flies seem to like stalking people randomly. The other day, I was swimming with my girlfriend when a fly landed on her head. I splashed her in the face (much to her displeasure) in an attempt to scare it off. Within a second, the fly returned. I told her about it and she dunked her head under the water. When she resurfaced, the fly immediately landed on her again.

This repeated several times until she dove to the bottom of the pool and swam clear to the other side of it. Of course, upon returning to the surface, the fly landed on her yet again. This caused her to go into a splashing slap frenzy for half a minute or more. Eventually, the fly left her alone.

Gotta hate bugs.

Moths and small beetles (and large for that matter but I rarely see them... knock on wood). These are the only two I ever see in my house and when I do, they're extremely obnoxious, smacking into light bulbs again and again. The beetles are so much more annoying because when they do hit something they make that disgusting noise because of their exoskeleton. I've had to stay up at night trying to get them because if I just let them be they'd either land on me or keep whacking against every surface in the room which, either way, wouldn't let me fall asleep.

The only tolerable insect for me is the common black ant, I think they're a bit cute actually. :wacky:

:gonk:

Welcome to my life. I seem to be perpetually stalked by bugs and spiders. And I'm terrified of both (with some notable exceptions of bugs). I just plain freak out. Oh and jellyfish. Not technically bugs, but those shits stalk me, I swear. Every time I go to a beach and people have mentioned jellyfish sightings... well, let's just say that even if there's ONE FREAKIN' JELLYFISH in a 100 mile radius, I'm the sad sop it's gonna come ram into. :gonk:

And those things huuuuuuurt...

But yeah, creepy-crawlies. The bane of my existence. I'm a normally cool-headed person but one slightly oversized or bold bug is enough to reduce me into a shrieking wreck. Spiders do this a lot--I generally begin to shriek and find someone else, direct them towards what they are to slay and run for it, shaking like a crack addict. I think daddy-long-legs spiders creep me out the most though.

Bees and wasps haunt me as well and I tend to not wanna kill them because I actually like bees (I'm just scared of being stung again). I just usually run away from them like a jumpy cat.

I have a tentative relationship with moths and butterflies. I like 'em but for some weird reason, I've had at least 5 butterflies nearly crash into my face out of nowhere. I dunno what those crazy flutters are thinking, do I look like a landing pad or something? XD As for moths, because I keep my windows open in the evening in the summer, invariably I have to rescue a moth or two from death in my room. I've gotten rather good at catching them gently and then releasing them outside. Of course they always try to get back inside. *shakes head*

But yeah, spiders and scorpions have the worst effect on me. I was stung by a scorpion when I was a younger and I spent 24 hours in the most horrific pain you can imagine. The stung area swells and you think it'll pop and splatter everything with gore. Your veins are on fire. Your muscles are trying to tear themselves apart. Your fever is trying to microwave you alive. And you have a stupid nurse nearby telling you to calm down and you feel like just grabbing her by the lapel and yelling that you'll calm the fuck down when they knock you out and spare you any more of this shit. You nearly punch out a doctor and practically heel kick a male nurse in the nads by accident when you're flailing. :gasp:

And then you spend the rest of your month limping like an old fart and cursing the everliving daylights out of those despicable arthropods...and you'll carry on for the rest of your life both respecting and fearing those buggers... *mumble*

I kid you not, that's how it is.

When i was 12 one of my friends pointed out that a bug was on my skirt... so i flicked it off and there was a small patch of dirt... (i think it shit on me) and i wiped that off too lol.

But it kept following me around like chasing me on the floor. The worst part is i ran home and the next day it was still in the same patch where i left it the day before....

im glad i moved house... cause it wont be able to find me here hahaha! xx
