Are you a 'cheap' gamer?

Games I love like Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid etc. I buy as soon as I can which is usually quite close to it's release, so they are always a full price. Games like FIFA I buy at release aswell.

But I do look around for cheap games, Gamestation is a diamond for cheap PS2 games, I've bought a few the past few weeks for prices like £2, 99p etc. then you got your 4 for £10 deals, 4 for £20, 2 for £20 and so on.

So games I really want and like, I'll happily pay release prices, others I'll get cheap.

Like Von had stated, I think that if I KNOW a game is going to be good and I've heard the reviews and such, I will probably buy the game full price.

If it's a game that I want to try out for the first time or of the like, I would just wait until the price drops.

Although I AM a trade and buy for a bit of a discount. haha. I will trade in a few games to get the higher priced games.

Haha, same here. I've been known to trade in some games to take the edge off the price of a game I want. I also try to buy the games I want but am unsure of used. Used games can be returned for full price within a week of purchase at Gamestop. If the game is complete shit, I may take advantage of that.

ah yes. I am the same. Lol. I like to buy the used as well. =D. Good deals some are.

Like I seen one game brand new for the full 59.99 but the used was 19.99. Pshhh. I am not paying full price.

Yesiree. I've come across games like that as well. There's a difference between being cheap and being dumb. As someone who isn't sleeping on piles of cash each night, I don't mind saving some money here and there.

haha. I come in the store and I always looked at the used games first.

I hate the used games that are not far off from the orginal new game.

Orginal Price - $59.99
Used Price - $54.99

Wuuuuut? Come on. lol.

I don't ususally buy a game unless I just have to have it, so I guess I am kind of cheap. If I see a game that might be fun to play, but has a high price tag, I most likely won't fork out the money for it. I'll just wait until it goes on sale.

If it's a game I really want though, I'll pay full price. When FFXIII comes out, it'll be at least 50 dollars, and I'll probably pay that. I also really want Guitar Hero 3 right now, which is around 70 dollars I think? I'm willing to pay that price too. Of course I'm not made of money, so I'm probably going to have to wait until some of the things I want go on sale.

So yea, I am kind of cheap when it comes to games. I only pay full price for what I absolutely cannot live without xD

I'm not a cheap gamer at all, mainly because everyone in this damn town seems to own every console so you pretty much have to go GAME and preorder it if you don't want to wait for absolutely ages to get it, plus it costs something like £10 to preorder games which is rather shit. -__-

So cheap gamer, no. :wacky:

Most of the time I will pay full whack for a game, although with the internet these days I can be cheap and just find the game I want as cheap as I can instead of going to the shops. I wouldnt ever buy a platinum game though, I cant be doing with them, although I do have KH as platinum but Im gunna rebuy that just so I can have a black label copy of it :wacky:

Some games Im not fussed about, Il wait til they get reduced or for them to be on offer, I got WoTL on a half price sale, I didnt have a PSP at the time so I was just like bargaaaaaaiiiiiiiiin, I m avin that

I never rent games, Im just someone who will spend cash and then thats it, its my game and its going to be looked after. If i dont like the game, i return it or if its over its return date, pu t it aside for one that i want.

If I see a second hand game I want, yeah i'll go for it, but I wont pay more then £25 for it as then i might aswell purchase a brand new copy for an extra £10 or less.

Nah, not a cheap gamer at all. Heck, I don't even buy Used games at Gamestop. It has to be New, even if it costs over 50 bucks. The most I've spent on a game is 80 (Arc the Lad Collection) - 130 bucks (Brand New Final Fantasy VII on ebay).

So yeah, I treat my games very preciously.

Eh, I know a lot of people on here have said the same thing, but for me, depends on the game and price and how much I really want it :S

I don't know where to rent games here (fail I know D:) and I don't think I could xD I bond way too much to objects >.>

If it's a game i've been looking forward to for a while (and I have money -.-), i'll buy it. If not, i'll just wait 'til the price drops a bit or see if i can find it cheaper.

Oh yeah, I'm definitely a cheap gamer. I'm a cheapass by nature, and having no job currently makes me even cheaper. I'll generally trade in things, or wait for sales or other deals. As a matter of fact, the other day I made a huge list of games I'm interested in for 360, and how many of them I could get for PC instead. Ended up that 25 out of 32 I want I can get for PC...and I'd rather spend $110 on a graphics card and $25 on a gamepad than $700 for the 360 and a new TV.

I'm totally cheap :neomon:

I have no problem buying preowned games and will always try and find the best deal before I buy a game. But I do that with most things I buy anyway, I hate to spend more than I need to. >_>

I don't usually buy games when they come out, but if it's something that I really want I'd just ask for it for Christmas or my birthday or.. I don't know, make up an occasion so that my dad buys it for me. :wacky:

I never rent games anymore, I'd much rather just buy it.

Usually I will have a look around at different places for the cheapest offer on the game I want, but I won't go out of my way to get a cheap price, as in I won't go from mall to mall but I will visit a mall and go from shop to shop to see who has it at the cheapest price. It really annoys me when I see a game in another store for a significantly cheaper price than what I bought it for, I'm not sure if that makes me cheap or not, but yeah......

As for older games I will usually check a second hand store first, otherwise I will go to ebay (where I don't really care about the price as long as I get it).

I'm definitely cheap. If I had more money, I'd like to buy games that haven't previously been owned. I like things to be mine, if that makes sense.

But I'm broke. Therefore I am a cheap gamer.

Not exactly, no XD

I ussually get most games I love on Launch day or a day after (I did so for MGS4 and SC4 XD)

It's not easy though. I'm not a cheap gamer but as a result I don't game a lot anymore due to how expensive games are getting XD

Of course, I have downloaded a few PS2 games (the ones I couldn't find in stores anymore, like Shadow Hearts), but only the rare stuff XD
