My question to you guys is: Have you played ALL the Final Fantasy's?
- in this case, I am only stating the main ones (FF1-FFXIII) excluding XI & XIV

If so, do you guys feel accomplished? Have you practically "maxed out" in most, if not, all the games?

I am planning on going through all the FF for the story & basic gameplay, and on my 2nd playthrough, basically max out on whatever I can.
After it is done, I will keep multiply copies and archive it for myself & treasure it :x3:

I started my Final Fantasy experience when i was 7, and that was playing FFVII. I'm now 21 and i'm well and truly addicted to the main titles, not so much the spin-offs, but definitely VII-XIII.

I wasn't told util recently that I-VI are now available on Playstation format, so i'll definitely be playing them next, i just didn't want to buy another retro console for I-VI.

As for maxing out the games ... yeah, definitely. I've squeezed my Final Fantasy games over and over for 14 years getting the most out of them.

I have played them all. I wouldn't say I'm addicted though. In fact, the only three games I haven't beaten are VI, IX, and XII. Kinda my fault though. Instead of just beating the game, I'd waste too much time trying to max my stuff out. VI and XII, I've gotten up to the point of the final "dungeon". In IX, I don't recall where I am, but I'm pretty far.

I, II, III, V, and VI are the only games I haven't played on their original system. Obviously II, III, and V are that way since they weren't released here in the states on NES or SNES.

Sad..........:(

Sadly these are the only FF games i have ever played(you can judge if you want, i won't kill you;)

FFVI(sadly haven't played in ages, probably should play again sometime soon)
FFVII(all hail the Almighty Sephiroth!!!!)
FFVIII(quite possibly one of my favorite stories of the Final Fantasy series)
currently halfway through FFIX
FFX
FFX-2(i heart X-2, especially the sphere system)
Dissidia
Dissidia 012 Ducideom(currently playing)

Final Fantasy games i have never played(but probably should)

Crystal Chronicles
the Final Fantasy Tactics series

I would say that i'm "addicted". I think I've replayed FFVII 6 times, and FFVIII 9+times.

I can relate to this thread because this is exactly what I am in the process of doing now. I am playing all of the playstation Final Fantasys and I am trying to make a maxed/or perfect game in all of them....with only a couple exceptions....the card game in FF9 and the Excaliber2 in FF9.

Basically my goal is to defeat all of the optional bosses and battles in the games.

It all started with IV, which I still love playing. After that, my friend and I saw another FF, but for PS1, which was VII.

I have played every FF (main FF's), and I was probably addicted back when X was still pretty new. Now I just love to play them. I haven't beaten them all (only III and VIII I haven't beaten)

It depends on how you define 'addicted'.

Do you mean that you are so addicted that you have played every single main title? Or that you have replayed a few titles 10000 times? Or you keep browsing about anything FF?

I will say that I am not completely addicted to Final Fantasy itself. I am sort of addicted to the brilliance of final fantasy music. Listening and playing (on the piano) FF music is a daily routine. I don't listen to the modern songs or most other types of songs. I have played (or am playing) about half of the titles (I, II, III, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XII, XIII) yet the only game I have truly replayed (3 times) is FFVIII.

It's not because I dislike a particular title that I did not replay them. I am not the kind of person who usually replays an epic game, re-read a good book, rewatch a good movie/tv serial. One of the reasons is the busy school life I am having. Secondly, I don't want to go through the boring parts/grinding parts all over again.

But still, I am constantly browsing for FF information, such as new upcoming games (FFXIII-2, etc). It is also my hobby to convince my close friends how great FF is.

To conclude, I may have some mild addiction to FF. However, I am pretty sure that FF has changed my life in many ways.

Well Let me see here...

Got all main titles (yes even XI not XIV yet but might when it finally hits PS3)
Got most "spin-off's (X-2 VII CC and VII AC and VII DOC, and XII-2 (one for GBA.))
Got most remakes or ports how ever you want to argue it.
Got a lot of the FF titles in the name (FFT, FFTA, FFTA-2, FF Dissidia (both of them.)
Got Kingdom Hearts cause of the FF in it.
Got the FF Spirit Within and FF Unlimited (Anime Series) got FFVII AC and FFVII AC Complete (thats right got the same movie twice.)
Got all the Walkthroughs for the games (minus FFVII DOC.)
Got most of the music cd's (buying them slowly off of Amazon or Itunes, depending on if I just want the music or the actuall cd in my hand. so far 3 off amazon and 3 off Itunes.

So I will let you be the judge of that.

I have played nearly all of the Final Fantasy titles, but I don't feel accomplished at all; sometimes I feel like I was robbed and other times I think I played a decently good game, XII for instance, but mostly I think I was jipped :/

But all in all there are the good ones too, VII, VI, X, IX, etc. and I am definitely not addicted xD Sad to say...

I have played my fair share of FF games. It started with FFI on the NES when I was kid. Unfortunately, I was too young to grasp the concept and struggled immensely. Then I played the US release of IV, which was II, on the SNES. I liked it and was older so I actually got it and beat it. It was all downhill from there. Here's my list:

Played & Beat: I, II, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2, Crisis Core, Tactics, Tactics Advance(1st one)

Played & Not Beat: III, XII, XIII, Dirge of Cerberus, Dissidia

All the other titles I never played because I could tell I wouldn't like them. If they are in the main series and not online, I always buy and play them. So, I guess I am addicted to the main series so I can see how each game develops and evolves. But for the side games and the other titles(ex: The Gamecube FFs), I don't really pay them any mind(with the exception of Crisis Core, really like that game).

Absolutely,my favourite Final Fantasy game is Final Fantasy VIII. It had a wonderful storyline and a unique group of characters. I bought this as my first RPG game a few years ago. I was actually planning on purchasing FFVII first but I couldn't find it anywhere at the game store. I bought VIII instead and I was so glad I did. I found it to be very addictive and the storyline never got boring. The battles were a challenge at times and I really liked how the Junction system worked. It was difficult to use at first but it was really effective at times. The bosses in the game were sometimes a bit of a challenge, also some of the enemies even were! The weapons in the game were unique and very powerful, they also looked awesome.

I have to agree FF8 was my best favorite game and my first game I gotten. It took me a month to figure this game out and I remember being upset for the first time when both Squall and Quistis went down after I was leaving the fire cavern lol :D

I'm not addicted I could stop anytime I want :mokken:

As it stands the FF titles I've played are Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy V, Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VII DoC, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2, Final Fantasy XI, Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.

Only beaten Final Fantasy VII and X.
