Yeah plus his music was good! But besides that Cid was just an entertaining character :) and thats what you want in games. Vincent was pretty cool and fun to use at times but Cid gave more laughs.

But with Barrett, when ever I play through the game I simply can not wait to get out of Midgar and not use him. He just annoys me. The gun arm is cool, but other than that he just fails.

Personally my vote goes to Vincent. he is, after all, the most intriguing character of the game although both he and Cid were in my party. he certainly has an interesting backstory and as far as power goes he is a welcome addition to the party with his limit break (who can forget right?)

Actualy omnislash has auto crit so despite the fact omni only does 3/4 x base you double that a hit. Barrets is 1 1/4 x base with out auto crit. Plus his only does ten attacks compared to omnislashes 15 so even if they both did 9999 a hit barrets would still fall short. Only limit that can come close to clouds is cids highwind. Infact if you can get cid to do 9999 with his final it'll out damage omnislash since it gets 18 attacks. Though the attack power of each hit is relativly low so it'd take some work to do that.
 
Well I didn't use any of these three characters (party of Cloud, Tifa, Red XIII), but I guess my favorite would have to be Cid. I really didn't like Barret for no particular reason and I never got around to unlocking Vincent. Also Cid is a really nice guy underneath his tough exterior. He did marry Shera (according to FF Wiki) and he did name his airship in advent c after her

I prefer Vincent overall, because his story tangent adds a unique flare to the game, he's fun to obtain (The Vincent/Shinra Manor side-quest), he's great in battle, with a long range weapon and his Limit Breaks are cool as well, although sometimes impractical to use. Vote Numero Uno Goes To Vince!

I definitely agree, I love his Character, but I never understand a word of what he says XC he's so complex, and wise. He's still a mystery even though he had his own game ^^ Plus he's got a little somethin', somethin' goin' on with my favorite DoC girl > Shalua!:tighthug:
 
Vincent is the coolest in my opinion and I use him in my group. But, Barrett is probably the better char to use.
 
Cid is the man... Vinny is cool, and Barrett is pretty damn awesome... but Cid is the badass. As mentioned, he just seems to put on the tough guy act just to hide the sweet guy that he really is. You've gotta respect that in a guy. :'D
 
I prefer Cid because he is a kick ass character. The guy makes funny remarks throughout the whole game. It's hard not to laugh at his antics. I liked the fact that he had big dreams to pursue of going into space because you could relate to him. Everyone has aspirations they wish to pursue.

Though he was rough, he still had the caring side of him that made him human. Whenever he made huge speeches the everyone would listen due to the respect they had for him.
 
Cidster!

Personally, I think Cid's the best man. He down right funny and a totaly kick ass character :D
Barret is pretty damn funny to, but sometimes i think he needs to take a chill O_O
Vince is pretty awesome but theres something that i never got that i did with Cid and Barret.
So cid it is :tighthug:
 
Ack! I dunno why, but I'm still thinking before voting. *Continues thinking*

Cid - His language is just so damn funny, and the whole Airship part in Advent Children. xD... Bitching at a certain lady, but look at what happened. Just cute.

Vincent - Looks awesome, but I don't care for his limits.

Barret - Just love the big marshmellow, seeing he was in Avalanche from the beginning.
