In FF XII I can't seem to get the battery when you climb this long wire it says you need a battery where do I get that please help!!!!

The batteries can be found in the shop in Sector 6. It's the shop that's right behind "Big Bro's Gym" and almost directly across from that restaurant-esque place. I think it had the word "GUN" written on it in a kind of glow light. The armor shop. Talk to the man on the side, and he'll mention about some "useful batteries" to buy from him.

That said, HighwindPilot is right. The shop in Walmarket (sector 6) has the batteries.
