Besaid Aurochs vs Luca Goers

I have. The first few playthroughs I had I could never win, but then I kept getting ties! (It seriously took 6 ties in a row before I finally beat them!)
 
I have.. the first try I failed.. but when I managed to obtain the Jecht Shot ability for Tidus.. The match against the goers went really easy..
 
Failed at my first try, perhaps like many of you. Second playthrough (I think) I beat them, while third or beyond I beat after acquiring Jecht Shot.
 
I believe there has been a thread for this already, but I'm too lazy to dig it up. Plus it's not my job.

As far as the question goes, I have done it, on more than one occasion. It is not that hard to do, once you get the hang of the situation.
 
The Jecht shot really does help a hell of a lot with your game against the Luca Goers, not to mention that Wacka is actually slightly better than Tidus stats wise initally when he comes on the field, just concentrate on playing aggressively and you should win it by a decent margin.
 
Yeah.

The last time I played it, my Tidus didn't even score a goal. Datto scored 1 and Wakka scored 2, 1 came in OT.
 
Heh, I loved Blitzball. The very first time you play the game I think it's assumed that you'll lose. However, after a few playthroughs you get the hang of it. Nothing really changes other than the fact that you get a trophy scene...

On a side note: I have a GIANT Aurochs poster in my room. You know the screen shot of the guys all with their hands in before the game? I have that with the Aurochs logo as a huge poster across my wall .XD
 
On my fifth time playing the game, i finally did it, in triple overtime, and without the jecht shot. datoo actually has a better chance of scoring. if u pass the ball around a bit datoo will be close enough to the net that u can get him flush up with raudy and just break through doram to shoot.

yes i have i did it on my first time, just got lucky because i didn't get a thing how to play it so i just smashed all buttons and then i got 2 goals in the end of second period xD but now it's easy as hell...
 
The only time they beat me was the very first time I played the game, I didnt know what the hell was going on. But once I played Blitzball enough and got the hang of it, everytime I restart the game they have been cake.
 
I didn't think it was possible on my first save file, and when I found out it was possible it must have taken me 5-6 tries on my second save file. These days though I can do it more or less every time. The strength sphere you get is an awesome reward too. In the old days I'd give it to Auron, but I give it to Rikku now, and send Kimahri down her sphere path so they both get the benefit early on.

The key is retaining possession. The more passing you do, the more exp you recieve. Take it to over time (double or triple overtime if you have to). I find though that once you have won your first game of Blitz, every game afterwards is too easy (with the exception of the first few times you play the Psyches, but even then they are easier than that first game).
 
ah that takes me back to a time when things were simple and all i had to do was win a blitz game.....it was my3rd time thru and i had the jecht shot and ended up winnign 3-1 its all about the numbers in this game
 
Nope I actually haven't nor do I think I will xD.

I like the game Blitzball but, I was never too bothered to read the tutorials and whatnot so, I just pressed buttons. It confused me xD.

Seems like too much work :hmmm: Though, I would like to see the goers reaction afterwards. I hated them hobos >_>
 
Yeah i've beat the Luca Goers on that first Blitzball match, I just kept passing the ball around, and let Tidus move forward, then passing back to him, and he'd usually score pretty well. It's not the easiest Blitzball match to win, but when you do, it feels good :)

Strength Sphere FTW.
