i was wondering what everyone thinks is the best way to get money? i have found that the undead have been a good way for me, but i'd like to know how everyone else is doing it. maybe i can pick up some better ideas.

Steal from everything if possible, sell everything you don't need. Worked well for me :P

As for mobs, skeletons always come in surplus, build a chain and sell their bones.

get the bazaar'd grimoire for 18000gil, it doubles your drop rates. i find it helpful to have one person equipped with the gambit: foe: HP =100% > Steal, that way you have one person doing dedicated stealing on any foe that foe starts taking damage. i saved up for that grimoire and ran around in lhasa mines with balthier stealing and it paid for itself in no time.

alright

how do you get that grimiore? i only have three so far, are there certain things you need to sell? im at the pirate's town (i forget the name), is it still too soon to get it??

If you want good money fast, chain those panthers at the entrance to Golmore Jungle on your way to Eruyt Village. You can leave the jungle 2 screens and as long as you don't touch the save crystal, your chain won't break.

Steal those coeurl pelts from them! They'll begin to drop some quality pelts that go for more as you chain more panthers and later down the line, they'll drop multiple coeurl pelts.

Has anyone found that Gatsly npc anywhere else ? I cannot find him to get the first grimoire

he is in the muthru bazaar you go south from the moogling attendant i find it helps to press left or right on the D-pad it shows all the people you can talk to and their names he's on the eastern side of the path south and he's before the clan provisioner hope that helps:D

Coeurls are a good source of gil early in the game, plus good for lvling as well.

Later in the game check out the Nebreus Deadlands - There is a section hidden in the Northwest of Slumbermead - This leads to a Hunt mark called Roblon (tough if you get overwhelmed) - Make sure you have the undead grimoire... then have fun killing some Bones. These give you 1.2-1.4k exp per kill (a good thing to have is a Tippet Amulet [ Double EXP ] ) - For about an hours worth of time you can farm up to 250k to 450k depending on how buffed out your party is (Make sure you are at least lvl 45+).
