Playstation Beyond: Two Souls

If it plays anything like Heavy Rain I will be getting this no questions asked! Though the girl in this looks like an older version of the girl in 'The Last of Us' What's with all the Ellen Page look-a-likes? (yes I know she voices the girl in Beyond)

THE POLICE DUDE IN THE BEGINNING LOOKS JUST LIKE MY CREEPY SCOTTISH NEIGHBOR :gasp: his lawn is always perfect and he called me a whippersnapper for letting my dog pee on his bush in his yard

anywho yes great game very nice

Apparently they had to remodel the girl from 'The Last of Us' because of this game, but it still looks like Ellen Page.

I haven't played Heavy Rain, but this game looks pretty nice. Read up on it a little bit to see what it's all about, and I'm intrigued.

Well with this game it makes sense, in heavy rain all of the characters are visually modeled after their voice actors. SO The voice actors are more like regular actors, with motion capture suits and everything

The girl in this game will be voice acted by Ellen Page, I didn't even know Ellen Page was until I heard the stuff about TLoU changing their character 'cause she looked too alike. There's a lot of people who look alike, who cares. Odd reason to change it for IMO.

Loving the gameplay, saw a gameplay commentary picking out good and bad parts, the game looks scary, but not scary enough for me to not play it. :ohoho: Win.

I loved Heavy Rain, so I have very high hopes for this game. It looks gorgeous in terms of graphics, and the story seems very interesting from what we know so far. I honestly can't wait to play it.

I enjoyed the trailer when I sat up till the early morning waiting for the Sony conference to start. I liked heavy rain....it had it's problems gameplay wise but this seems to give more flow and expand...but I don't know if I could put myself through it and see the game to it's finale. Remember we are meant to follow Jodie Holmes (I think thats the surname to this character) through a 15 year time span. That is a long time and in terms of gameplay as she gets older new abilities etc should be accessible. I am giving this a look into but for now just will read the previews.

When Naughty Dog stopped making animals for blockbuster titles, they also modeled their characters after the voice actors. It seems to make the voice suit the person more-so than pitching a close-enough voice to a body. Is a pretty popular trend from what I understand, as I know Ubisoft did this for some of the Assassin's Creed games as well.

Though, I saw this and wasn't too sure about it. I don't know why, but I'm just not sold on the girl's personality. I think I'll have to wait around for more clips before making up my mind. :hmmm:

Heavy Rain was ace, truly beyond this earthrealm lol.
It set a new type of game in the industry (for me at least) I havent played the older titles Fahrenheit?

Anyways Games like Heavy Rain, Last of Us and Beyond are unique games which I adore! Keem them coming SONY. :mokken:

Compelling STory line wether its a bit cliché I dont care as long if it moves me storywise and involves me with the characters I love it.

Like the PSN game I AM ALIVE. I love these games.

This game looks brilliant, as Heavy Rain is probably one of my top 3 favourite PS3 games, and it's my only platinum'd game.

The in-game Ellen Page looks wonderful and it seems they are doing a much better job at facial animation compared to Heavy Rain. I've heard that they're going to make the storyline even MORE dynamic in this game, which I'm really excited for. Instant pre-order.

Hopefully the game doesnt have the freezing issues on consoles like Heavy Rain had, so many reports on that game freezing its not even funny. But so far it looks amazing.

This is one of the exclusives for ps3 im looking forward too, I havent got the game yet but Im hoping to later this year. I never played heavy rain but watched my frends played it. If its like that then I think I can survive through the game, the graphics looks good and dare I say storyline even seems interesting almost like a movie, I can't wait to see how it plays.

I think this is the first game I've seen that has the actors' names on the front. A reflection of Quantic Dream's desire to create games that feel and play like interactive movies. It's also because they're good and quite well known actors, twice Oscar-nominated Willem Dafoe who has been in some very good movies; The Life Aquatic, Antrichrist, et al. and also Oscar nominated Ellen Page primarily of Juno and Inception fame. I think that shows the rise in video games in terms of status, wages, and probably quality, though they could have just have taken the gig for the money. The only other game I can name off the top of my head that has famous people in it would be GTA San Andreas, I think there were a couple of rappers who did some voice work.

Beyond: Two Souls box art is rather melancholy

Next week, on April 27, BEYOND will be screened at the Tribeca Film Festival, followed by a panel featuring Quantic Dream’s David Cage and actress Ellen Page. To celebrate, Sony has released the box art for the PS3 title. Enjoy. Beyond: Two Souls is slated for an October release on PS3.

That is some serious awsome box art, probably the best Ive seen for any ps3 game. Just looking at the cover would make me wanna by the game especially If I see Ellen Page's name on it then I would buy it in a heartbeat even if I didnt allready know about the game.

Quantic Dream head David Cage has revealed that the upcoming narrative-focused Beyond: Two Souls will last for ten hours.

Speaking at an event for the game at the Tribeca Film Festival (via Gamespot), Cage revealed the figure after a 35 minute clip of the title's "Homeless" level was shown.

Because people wanted to see the end, they wanted to know what would happen next.

The figure comes after mock scripts for the game were sent to media outlets last week, revealing the title's narrative spans over 2,000 pages.

Cage also revealed he's confident that most gamers will finish the title, as his last game Heavy Rain had a higher than average completion rate amongst gamers; typically about 20 percent of players see a game through to its end, though for Heavy Rain this number was about 75 percent.

In his opinion, this is down to the story-heavy nature of the game. He explained, "Because people wanted to see the end, they wanted to know what would happen next…all this was very important."

Alongside the 35 minute clip, a new trailer for the game was debuted at Tribeca, which you can check out below.
