1,000 Words (FFX-2)

VS.

Tsuki no Akari (FFIV)

VOTE: Tsuki no Akari (FFIV)

Tsuki no Akari is a beautiful song with a delicate romantic air. It's gentle with an understated passion which I find far more moving than the obvious, lovey dovey-esque 1,000 Words.

Vote:1,000 Words (FFX-2)

I actually liked this song in X-2.... one of the very few good things.... I actually didn't like when they changed the melody from Theme of Love to Tsuki no Akari. If they left it in the original from from Snes/ps1 I'd probably like it more. But for me 1000 words isn't needed :ohoho:

Gah missed round 2 but doesn't matter as I was gonna vote for Wanderer of Time as well, but for this one I have to go with 1,000 words. For me it really draws you in and helps you feel the moment and does it best to convey what is ultimately the tragedy of the love between the two yet despite it they will carry on. Where as Tsuki no Akari is just to relaxing, and that's the main fault it's just to relaxing for me and doesn't help me feel anything for whats going on.

Tough one. I do like 1,000 Words. I thought Jade sang it beautifully. But I also like Tsuki no Akari. :hmmm:

I dunno, I'm more familiar with 1,000 Words so I'll vote that.

1000 Words is one of my earliest Final Fantasy memories, so it hits that nostalgia note in me and is a memorable, rousing theme song to boot.

Tsuki no Akari isn't bad, albeit flat in a lot of places, but as Mitsuki said, my vote goes to the one that I'm more familiar with.

1,000 Words for sure. I can't even remember the FF4 song in the game lmao. 1,000 Words is one of the strongest ever FF songs to me, so there we have it :).

1,000 words for me too. Not a big fan of themes with lyrics in general compared to the instrumentals but this one actually sounds a natural fit.

Eyes on Me (FFVIII)

VS.

Utakata (FF Type-0 HD)

Vote: Eyes on Me (FFVIII)

Eyes on me is really amazing, I have mix feelings about FFVIII, but this song is so amazing in the game and blends in so well!

I never played Type-0, but this song has me kinda worried about the rest of the soundtrack...

VOTE: Utakata (FF Type-0 HD)

This song blows me away, it's full of attitude and pulls no punches. I love the presence it has on the Type-0 HD Soundtrack. The dominance of the vocals and striking interplay of the instrumental makes, the song both powerful and intense.

Eyes on me, I like the relaxed feeling it gives me and also I am more familiar with that one. FF8 was my first FF so a heavy part of my vote is from sheer nostalgia. Utakata had a good instrumental though seemed a little slow with it's build up and then we get to the vocalist, her voice isn't drawing me into the song or help me feel it, in fact I find myself trying to ignore her and listen to the instrumental.

Eyes on Me. It's a great track with and without lyrics. Pretty sure it's the first theme I heard with lyrics too so it surprised me how great it was. Except maybe One Winged Angel but I'm not sure that counts :wacky:

Kimi ga Iru Kara (FFXIII)

VS.

Why (FFVII: CC)

Why because it picks up and is faster pace then Kimi ga Iru Kara. Both seemed to have slow start and very slow pace but Why at least picked up.

Safe and Sound (FFVII: ACC)

VS.

Real Emotion (FFX-2)

VOTE: Safe and Sound (FFVII: ACC)

Kyosuke Himuro's voice sounds pretty cool in this song. I was surprised to hear this sort of song in Advent Children Complete, but the song itself has kind of grown on me.

For me, Real Emotion is just one long snore fest.

Real Emotion I guess again my vote goes to the one that's more familiar and after play X-2 so many times for so long it kinda grew on me. Safe and Sound just didn't grab me.

Real emotion is memorable because it is the very first scene of Final Fantasy x-2 and I actually really like the Japanese version of it. I am going to vote for Real emotion because I like it better than Safe and Sound, tbh. Real emotion and 1000 words were some of my favourite songs in Final Fantasy X-2 and can actually be quite emotional at times.

What can I do for you? etc.
