Anime Bleach

It took me forever to get into the show. I mean it's been mainstream for how long now? And I'd only started watching it this last summer. Even now I'm only a casual fan (IE, watch it when I catch it, don't really follow it entirely), but it does seem kind of cool. I really want to refrain from getting wrapped up in it, but I do like it.

Yup! Big Bleach fan here, but I stopped at episode 218 because I got annoyed...but that's just me being impatient. The fillers did annoy me at times, but I caught up with the manga. I plan on watching it later on when I'm in the mood for it.

i like bleach a lot but for some reason i don't really like ichigo and orihime, i especially think orihime is really annoying. i like the other characters like chad, rukia, rukia's brother, kenny. another thing is that i really have a hard time remembering the character's name, not too sure why maybe its like japanese type names or none english name, i don't know. ive been following the dub version on adult swim and lately ive been looking at the manga too but only at alittle pass the place where they are at in the dub version

I like Bleach and i follow the anime and manga every week.

But Tite Kubo is completely destroying the story right now, it just makes no sense at all...

Have you seen how trolled the Espada were?

Im a big fan of Bleach and love the series. It is probally one of my favorite animes to watch. What really got me into was when
Ichigo started fighting off Hollows in the world of the living and became a subsitute Shinigami (Death God)

Other reason I love Bleach is when
Aizen betrayed the soul society and fled to Hueco Mundo with his subordinates Gin Ichimaru and Gin.

I don't like that many fillers in Bleach exept for the Zanpakuto Arc. It has been very interesting especially when
Muramasa released the shinigami's zanpakuto from their control.

Right now im on episode 249.

I also follow the anime and manga every week, and its pure awesome.

I started watching it first in english though, then the subs.My favorite is kenpachi and yachiru, their the best!! yammy is my favorite espada.

I have to admit I'm a little disappointed with what I've seen of this series. I remember watching the first five episodes in a row a few years back and they were really good, but every time I happen to catch it on TV lately the entire episode consists of two characters posturing, with maybe 30 seconds of action. And quite often someone saying something like "It's important to know the name of the person who killed you" or something like that. Anyway, I'm happy about its success for the fans' sake, but tbh it's not really my thing :/

I've been keeping up with the manga pretty much every week. I started with the anime when they showed it on teevee, and while I still think that the story was the coolest before Rukia got kidnapped in the beginning, Kubo still manages to keep the story interesting. At the same time, some of the twists he comes up with just make me go "Really? Is this really happening? Did you really write that this was going to happen?" because sometimes they're just so ridiculous.

Which reminds me: [Chapter 397 spoiler]
inb4 Aizen is Ichigo's real dad

Just kidding. That would be ridiculous. But is it too ridiculous for Kubo? Tune in next week, folks. [Actually, it looks like 398 just went up a bit ago. I'll probably take a look this weekend.]

Anyway, it does seem to suffer from DBZ syndrome, where sometimes the characters just sit there and power up, achieve new forms that were previously unheard of, get stronger mid-battle by way of some epiphany, make main characters unkillable, and there is no particular end in sight. Do you think the series will be over at the end of the current arc? No way, Kubo is rolling in the bills way too much. So I can definitely see why Bleach wouldn't be everyone's cup-o'-tea.

But then again, I was a huge fan of DBZ back in the day, so meh. At least they've somewhat successfully veiled the mindlessness of it all.

I am a fan of Bleach since the first day it was aired. I enjoy watching every episode of this anime. It has become one of my personal favorite anime of all times. It contains tons of action, a great plot and a great story with some surprising moments. It is one of the top 5 most famous anime of all. I am keeping in track with this anime and I will continue to watch the episodes until I see the final one.

See comments in One Piece thread for the brutal feedback on this one :p

For non-brutal feedback; this series had promise. The opening storyline was great, and the Soul Society arc was good.

After that, it began sliding downhill. The idea of "Soul Reapers vs. Hollows" had been developed nicely, and given a new twist when the Soul Reapers began fighting with each other.

Then it became "Soul Reapers with Hollow powers vs. Hollows with Soul Reaper powers" and went from there into "people transform with swords to fight other transformed people with swords" and it became mediocre.

Then Aizen started doing his thing with the marble of doom and it went to shit. The only real light in recent chapters was seeing Ichigo bitch-slap him several times in a row.

Seriously, like Madaraki said:

My thoughts, exactly.

I don't think Kubo wants to end the whole Bleach thing until prolly Naruto or One Piece ends, take a look at the latest chapter of the manga, the hell is that? Just finish it already, just making up stuff that has no sense or attachment to anything.

**Major Spoiler warning** -spoiler tags down there-

Okay the whole thing about Ichigo beating Aizen and what not, I get it, now they were able to catch Aizen (They catched him not killed him because Aizen will play a role in returning and dragging the story on and on), the threat that has always been there, he said Farewell to Rukia and to his shinigami power. <-- that ending I liked it. If he just finished it at that, I wouldn't complain about Bleach no more but to actually do a timeskip and starts a new arc which I think in turn Ichigo will somehow find a way to get his shinigami powers back and resume with the infinite loop Bleach has been going in, this is just ridiculous.

If Ichigo gets his powers back, I'll stop reading the whole thing.

Oh at this rate I think it's a given that he'll get his powers back. Kubo's too much of a troll to let us get used to anything complex at this point.

Still, this chapter wasn't too bad. I really wouldn't mind if the next storyline was focused on Ichigo and Chad kicking ass and having hoodlum fights in town. See; some of the best fights in the series involved actual movement/technique and whatnot (Kenpachi vs. Ichigo) and not just "I swing my sword to make a ball of energy fly at your ball of energy that you made when you swung your sword at me".

So yeah, something with more fistfight/brawling would be nice.

Also: <3 Tatsuki with longer hair.

I got into Bleach a couple of years ago, but I don't watch the anime anymore.
The fillers started to get really annoying, and by the time the series had gotten back to the main story I had kind of lost interest, since that part of the story wasn't necessarily very interesting.

That being said, I do still follow the manga every week. It's somewhat more bearable, because I don't have to watch them act like douchebags for episodes at a time - I can skim through the douchebaggery in a few minutes.
I really loved the series in the beginning, so I think I'm holding out for some stroke of genius on Kubo's part that takes the series back to its former greatness.

But he's a troll, so no luck in sight.
That and he uses like 3 panels per page.
:rage:

Read the new Bleach chapter this morning.

It's actually not bad, I like the back-to-its-roots kind of feel, and the fact that pages have several panels on them again.
I just Kubo isn't going to troll us again in a couple of chapters. :hmmm:

I think Dishy is the same Dishy from MAL. >.>

Well, I'll see how things develop for now, if he wanted to give Ichigo his powers back, then he really needs to do something unique and convincing to pull it off, Otherwise there was no need for the whole "Lose all of Shinigami powers when Ichigo uses the final Getsuga tensou"...

:awesome: Who, me?

I actually hope Ichigo stays powerless for a while. He was badass enough before he became a Shinigami, there was no need to make him lame and overpowered the way Kubo did.

Here's hoping Ichigo becomes a vigilante crime-fighter, cape and all. :mokken:

I also agree that Ichigo should stay powerless,im tired of seeing his former powers now, but I have to admit that his last power that we seen were pretty awesome, but now their gone. So for the recent chapter, which read seconds ago,its just Ichigo and his daily life at school, some characters look a little different to me, like uryu and keigo, it was all babbling and kickin the asses of punks. It has been 7 months after the Aizen war if im right, so since hes still locked up for a hell of a long time, there has to be a new villain. Of course bleach wont end, it has hardcore fans, but this arc is supposed to be the 2nd last arc if I remember, not sure what will exactly happen in the upcoming future of bleach. But anyways, theres been a creepy man since the last chapter, and I think hes the shadow footstep at the last page of this chapter. Since the spine is Aizen, I think this new guy can be a relative of Aizen or someone that witnessed Ichigos victory 7 months ago. >_>

Well, at any rate this timeskip looks...cautiously decent. Powerless Ichigo is proving to be somewhat entertaining, and it looks like we're about to get some answers on his family (specifically his dad).

Kubo's got an annoying habit of trolling us and this could turn out to be a dud, but for now I'm looking forward to what we'll get.
