Blind Or Deaf?

ok so i alter my posts :) sorry *clears throat*
i like your perspective nami it really makes me think sabout both problems. i originally just spotted an idea i felt that i agreed with. thinking about it i cant favour one over the other... i would rather not be either and i cant choose either way...
 
I'd rather be deaf. If I lost my eyesight I would almost certainly have to depend on someone else to help me around everywhere I went. With being deaf I could at least elarn sign language and such. THe only major down-side to that would be that music would be basically gone from my life.
 
If I were deaf, I'd get a computer screen and type messages to other people. I can't be bothered to learn sign language because it's much too expressive for my tastes. Besides, I never liked visual or verbal cues all that much. Stuff written on paper is explained to me much better.

Besides, how do you explain abstract concepts like advanced math with sign language? It would force my colleagues to learn it too.
 
I would rather be deaf to be honest, i can just imagine the tranquility of it, but after a while i'd find it annoying and horrible :( It's a double edged knife for both of em
 
I'd rather not be able to smell, but since that's not an option, deaf. I just can't imagine not knowing what green is... And, I'll be able to type like I am right now if I were death =)
 
Hmmm... hard choices!

I would go with deaf because I want to see the beauty of nature and not to mention HAWT GUYS!! xD so yeah, I mean I need to see but I love music so huh maybe deaf haha!
 
I'd rather be deaf, to be honest. I'd hate not being able to see, and yeah, I'd miss music like woah, but I'd miss yaoi and... other things, more. I'd hate to be either though XD;

So true, I realize all these things, and I don't even need to think about it. I would hate to be either, but I'd far rather be deaf, over blind.

Heck, while being deaf would be somewhat limiting, it actually isn't all bad, you don't notice irritating noises and whining, but I couldn't hear the music or sounds of video games, or life, but I would of course get used to that.

Being blind, however, that'd be really hard to just get used to, you'd pretty much want to have someone to guide you around, crossing roads would be life threatening every time other wise...
 
I'd personally rather be deaf than blind. I've had experience of being deaf before (I seemed to go in and out of it when I was little) and it really wasn't so bad. Sight on the other hand, I don't know if I could really do anything that I like without it (except listen to music and radio shows), so that would worse for me in my opinion.
 
i would rather be deaf than to be blind, cause if i could see, i could easily read the lips of the person whom im talking to, so i dont need to hear what the person is saying!
 
I already know a little bit of Sign Language, as my mother studies it, so I would probably prefer to be deaf than blind. Being deaf, my life wouldn't really change all too much. Music isn't too big a deal to me either, and I'd still be able to use the internet, draw, and play video games.
