I thought it was pretty epic. I remember being all o_O at all the characters being able to breathe under water for that long a time. Hated it at first because I didn't understand it at first but once I got better at the game it became more fun.

Despised it. Absolutely hated it and everything about it. I took the time to beat the Luca Goers in the storyline competition only once and that was by cheating - hiding in your own goal after Tidus scores a goal.

I thought Blitzball was great it was nice to get away from the main story for a bit just to play a game but it start's to get boring if your playing it for a long time. Hated the way you only had one chance to get the Jecht shot.

Epic, always played it when i didnt wanted to continue the story because it had some kinda hard boss waiting for me :P

Dull...the least favorite thing to do in FFX imo...one match takes soooo long time, and can't really says its exciting. I think I have to win 5 games to get either the crest or sigil for wakka, and to be no. 1 to get the legendary weapon(don't know how many matches that requires), but this is the verylast thing I will accomplish before finishing the final boss... :cookie:

Imo blitzzball is worse than the card-game in FFVIII

Definitely epic.

It can become quite addicting and fun to play, and is a great way to pass the time if you need a break from the main game, as well as to maybe nab an item or two that you may not normally find.

I notice that many of the people who didn't like it sucked at it. :mokken: Either that or they stuck with the default Auroch players, most of who suck balls.
After a few games I started to understand it a bit better and honestly, it was pretty fun and easy to play.
The only team that's EVER been hard for me to beat was the Al-Bhed Psyches, which I found ironic, since Wakka beat them on his own in the story.

Epic is a bit extreme, but i did enjoy it, and spent quite alot of time playing it, especially, if there was a hard bosss waiting for me.

I love sports. I also love sports games and sports management games. So you may think that I would enjoy Blitzball, but...

I think it's dull. I can't see the fun in winning with 8-0 every game. Though I think it's kind of cute that people actually discuss strategies. All you need to do is to pass the ball to Tidus and the Jecht shot. Then you swim back to your own goaltender and something else for a while. That, or repeating the process.

Blitzball is like playing chess with a monkey. A stupid monkey. I can't believe how anyone can find the game hard. Everything was rather obvious after the tutorial.

I think the word 'Epic' is a little bit strong haha, I loved blitzball but I would not say it was 'epic'.

At first I hated it because I couldn't quiet understand wtf I was doing, it took me a really long time to finally get the hang of it. Then I spent about 50 hours total just on blitzball hahaha, I enjoyed creating my team etc, I thought it was a really cool mini game. :)

BlitzB was ok, not epic. The idea was nice, it was slow paced and did not flow well. Once you mastered the game and got good stats, defiantly 'dull'!

I'm doing another playthrough at the moment, and Blitzball still eludes me. Saying that, I did win my first game ever during this playthrough (the one you have to play) and I'm not quite sure how...I've never really understood it. To me that whole episode in Luca was just kinda standing in the way of the rest of the game...

I think I'd actually prefer to play Triple Triad or Blackjack over this, and I already hate those minigames. At least when you're playing Triple Triad, a single match is usually rather swift and often tense, whereas Blitzball matches to me would just drag on and on. I honestly did try to sit down and give it a chance, reading up on the best ways to play the game, familiarise with it, but even then it's done hardly anything to liven things up, bar the occasions where status ailments are being hurled at my team adding in some tension. It's painfully slow, it isn't dynamic and it doesn't have any lasting power for me.

And considering the whole point of playing in a sphere is to add a third dimension to what looks like a football slash water polo sport, the fact that you're locked on a 2D plane is in itself a bit disappointing.

Gotta love the originality of this game. How awesome it would be to be able to play in an entire orb of water? To have the ability to throw a ball through water like that? The physics of it are outrageous but I would certainly love to be apart of that. Epic.

I found it to be fun. I'm not really a fan of it, but I've at least played a few matches and won a few tournaments, etc.

I wasn't the greatest fan of Blitzball when I first played it, though I must admit that I didn't really understand it. At 15/16, I didn't want to spend the time on it either. :/ I'm still unsure about it... I remember the movements being quite slow and clunky. >_<

Having said that, I really like Blitzball as a concept! :)

The first time I played I never really got into it but the times I went back and replayed it I really came to love it. Like it better than VIII's Triple Triad since I always end up fed up with it the longer I play it but Blitzball never gets old :D.

Xx..xX

Blitzball is more dull than watching paint dry. I only did it to get Wakka's weapon crest/sigil (can't even remember which one it was). The beginning is frustrating, as your team sucks and winning is very difficult. Then when your team gets really good it's just plain boring because the opposition's AI is so terrible, so you can just repeat the same strategy over and over and beat them badly.
Viva Triple Triad!
