I think it's fine as is now. No need to "Buy" Name changes, a 1-month wait is good enough.
Its one month for mods i belive. atleast Thtas what i heard, and like. 2 or 3 for normal members
I personally think that you should have to buy these, because some people (you know who you are) like to change their names as soon as they get the chance, and with this, they would have to have enough points to do so again. And if not, then they are stuck with the name they chose.

Personally I think the day wait should be reduced to 60 30 is too short people may abuse it so 60 seems like a good # for normal members

Nay if your priced it about a 1000 points it would be fine. Because you'd have to maintain my activity level for a week to get it, and that's not easy even for me.

Well the price was just a suggestion since I might change it to buy new name instead of buying the lower time limit =/
30 is for staff members, actually, and 60 is for veteran members. Normal members wait 90, and I think... junior members are 120 or 150. Not entirely sure on that last one.

Veterans should be able to buy username changes, other members can buy time off. Otherwise all these new members would be able to change their names before veteran members, and I think everyone agrees with me when I say that is incredibly unfair.

the newer members will end up being able to name change pretty much all the time, i hardly ever post anymore, and the same can be said for a lot of the older members, and id probably never rack up the points to be able to change my name, ive already done all my posting.
yeah 90 days is long - but so is 60, its so we can keep up with who is who and if we change qa name dont like it/get bored then its tough shit, you're stuck with it. Its hard to keep up with newer members that name change alot. i dont know who the3 fuck is who at the best of times

How about we can buy name changes as long as it's over a month?All it really takes is for someone to go to said members profile and see who they were previously. :/ Not that complicated.
You don't even have to do that Cali, you just put your mouse over the username for a few seconds and it shows you their previous ones.
So it's even easier.
For real? It does that?
Makes it all the more easy.

Eh. I tried to do that when I returned after a year and it didn't help since the Statistics page only holds the past few changes...and people are ALWAYS changing them. This works for a few months, but not too long.
I won't bother giving my stance on the name change issue since this isn't really meant to be a debate fred. I wonder, though, if this can be done from a logistical standpoint. As far as I'm concerned, if Belazor/Decado can make the shop do this...then I suppose I'll just deal with ever-present name changes as I always have.
And? I don't really think a person would change their names 5 times in a month. Still, maybe the tech guys or admin can make it show more, like 10 just to be safe. :/

Then go with Hal's idea. Make it be buy able to be able to change your username every month or something. Or to take time off. Because three months is a long time to wait, just because I don't spam in post count areas.
Yeah I mean the name change would be like anything else. If someone abuses it, then I would expect the mods or admins to step in. After all, it's a privilege not a right.
