Okay, I've played through crisis core twice, and I've come to realize that at the end of crisis core, cloud states that he is "SOLDIER 1st class cloud." I thought he was proclaimed dead as an infantryman... and was wanted by shinra? also, in FF7, he states that he's ex-soldier, but in CC, he never got into soldier.

I'm prolly wrong, but could someone clear this up for me?

Cloud's case is confused. Mako poisoning and trauma caused him to mistake his joining of soldier. Zack's death at the end of the game, mixed with the intense mako poisoning created a fake persona, a persona that is what he pictured himself as if he made it into Soldier, which he never did. He adopts a persona similar to Zack's, which makes him think that he is an Ex-Soldier at th beginning of FFVII. He was proclaimed dead as they believed him to be a loss cause when they found him almost dead due to his body not being able to fully incorporate the mako.

Not to mention he was ashamed of his failure in the company and decided to live a lie, Zack's life, as his own and did so strongly enough that he, himself, came to believe it was true. This is all clearly explained when you first reach the Northern Crater, and then later when you fall in to the Lifestream.

mako poisoning caused his memories to mix up with zack's that's why he proclaimed that he was a first class soldier even if he's not.

If you've played the and finished FFVII then it's already clear what has happened.I'm not in the mood for spoilers but all I'm gonna say is that it is explained throughout the FFVII,except if you haven't finished it,or if you don't remember play it again.

A VERY slight correction: Cloud is proclaimed dead before he actually dies. This is to cover up the fact that Shinra was experimenting on him.

Also, another of the many reasons that Cloud adopted some elements of Zack's personality into his own was because of his Jenova cells' limited psionic abilities.

This is why a person should play the original game first.

I think you could play either Crisis Core or FFVII first, really. Either way, you're going to dull the impact of the storyline that you don't play first. It's all about whether you want to set up the plot first or take a closer look at the past later on.

I don't think it'd be the same if you played CC first, cause then FF7 would no impression on you,but if it's the other way around you know what to expect from CC because it got too involved with FF7 plot's.I know that either way it had to but not completely. It's like playing the same game twice with the difference of characters in CC and overusing the whole experimenting on SOLDIERs theme.

From what little I can make out of your post, you appear to have disagreed with me, then gone on to restate exactly what I said.
