I finally saw the movie last night and I am very pleased with it, although the story is very shocking and sad. Based on a true story, it revolves around Christine Collins and the case of the Wineville Chicken Coop murders, (young boys) and "explores themes such as feminine disempowerment and corruption in political hierarchies" (Wiki)

I researched about the events that happened surrounding the Wineville Chicken Coop case, and I was very surprised that the town is now know as "Mira Loma", a small town in the Riverside County area, CA, which I am very familiar with. They changed the name due to the negativity that surrounded the murders in the ranch, and I just had this eerie feeling. We used to pass that place every time we go to the mall in a nearby city. =/ I heard that the chicken coop is still there standing even to this day, as Clint Eastwood (director of the film) saw it himself.

Anyway, Angelina Jolie did a great job here, as did John Malkovich and the rest of the cast crew. The film was very emotional and powerful, but it just saddens me
to know that no one really knows what happened to Walter Collins even to this day.

Anyone else saw this movie yet? Thoughts? Comments?

yeah, Ive seen it, I didnt think Id liek it very much, but I thought it was amazing, expecially knowing its a true story, its absolutely shocking and appalling what that police force got up to. I was gripped from start to end.

I enjoyed this movie considering how interesting the plot turned out. I thought Angelina Jolie did a good job with her role. Sadly, the movie shows how the world works as well and how some people still treat on another badly. It can be sickening at times to know what kind of world we live in when things like this happens and all you can do is hope and for the best to make sure our children are safe.
I was shocked with the outcome of what happened to Walter Collins myself
.
