Choco Raising

So with the update finally implemented, how many of you guys are actually gonna waste the month to grow a chocobo? I know I am and I hope that when my choco hatches that it is the color red. I don't want any other color but red. Oh and when a choco retires are you still able to use it as a mount or do you have to go through the process of raising another chocobo again? It didn't seem to clear to me when I read that part.

The only advatange to this new feature is that you'll be able to call it from any field with the whistle. Otherwise, it's a waste of time and gil.
