Anyone going anywhere special for Christmas? Just having a plain ole plain ole sit down at a relative's place?

Mine's going to be rather sad as again it's only my mom and I celebrating it this year as my uncle and aunt and my cousin are all going up north to celebrate with friends. :lew:

I suppose it's going to be a rather slow day that day, but I couldn't ask for anything more. :ryan:

Going down to Louisiana to see the family for the first time in 5 years. Kind of looking forward to it, but then again... Kind of not. They're so fucking far away from civilization that they don't even have dial-up internet. Luckily, I will only be down there for about 5 days, but that's 5 days away from... Everything. Fuck, this is going to suck. :hmph:

Nyeh not really.

Probably just go to my parents for lunch and then my mates for dinner.

It's wicked that we never have to cook on Christmas. XD

May go to our grandparents on Christmas Eve but it depends on how I feel. More than likely not though. Just another day to us! XD

On my side, it's always the same thing. On Christmas eve, we have a small family reunion with my grandmother on my mother's side and my two sisters.
On the 25th we have a big party with all the family on my dad's side, uncles, aunts, cousins and grand-parents. I prefer the 25th to the 24th of December, there's more people to talk to and we do games and stuff.

My family does the same thing every year, but it's always the best time ever.

I have like 15 aunts/uncles and well over 40 first cousins, many of them with kids of their own now, and we all get together at either my moms or one of my aunts/uncles' houses for breakfast, and then hang out for a few hours, and then everyone goes home and gets their dinner food ready while the kids enjoy their new crap, and then everyone meets up again for supper and the night goes on with a huge crowd of my relatives having a good time.

I usually just go to my mom's house. The routine goes, I'll spend the night before, wake up Christmas morning, open presents, spend the day with them, eat, most likely go home that night. Nothing too special.

I might have the same plans as last year. Spend the whole Christmas day at my house with my family opening our presents for the youngest to the oldest in the family. Then have some good Romanian food for our Christmas dinner.

Same old same old.

Off to the mothers to eat all her food

I wish I could drive. I dont mind spending a night there, but I really do like to be back in my own bed after that, but alas, i always end up marroooooned over there at crimbo

Going out with my mum, her partner, my two sisters, brother and my gran for Christmas dinner. We usually have dinner at my mum's or my gran's, but we decided to go out this year. That equals no stress, no arguments and no cooking. We'll also be going back to ours for drinks afterwards since we've got the dogs at home, too.

Oh wow lots of plans!

On Christmas Eve, we have my immediate family's christmas. My siblings and their kids go to one of our houses and we have Christmas brunch. Then all the kids open their presents from my parents and their aunts, uncles and cousins. It is very fun.

Christmas Eve night, Me, john, my brother Greg, and my sister in law Angela open our presents with my parents. Then we play what ever cool video game we got, watch a movie, and then maybe go to midnight mass.

Christmas day, we celebrate with john's immediate family where we have christmas breakfast and then open presents. Then after that party, we go to his mother's side of the family's party and have lunch. For dinner we go to my mom's house for a christmas family with my dad's side of the family. XD So busy day.

The following sunday, we have a christmas party with John's Dad's side of the family.

So christmas is fun because I get to see lots of my family :)

Just visited my dad for the weekend, then next weekend am going to SC to visit the in-laws for 6 days, then spend Christmas day itself with my mother. Not anything out of the ordinary, but it will be nice to have more than one day off from work in a row :ryan:

I'm off to my aunt and uncle's for our annual Christmas get together with the entire family. We'll eat prime rib and homemade mashed potatoes <3 watch TV, drink, talk, and open presents, while the kids tear up the other living room in the house. I'm especially grateful this year because Christmas day falls on my weekend to work, so I only end up going in for 1 day on my weekend to work ...however, I have to work Sunday so I can't get too crunk :gasp:

Sooo hard to believe the big day is only 12 days away. This year went by so fast.

Nothing out of the ordinary really. Christmas here at home with my sister and her kids up for the day, opening presents and having christmas dinner and that. Then Boxing Day we're going up my uncle and aunts to open more presents and have more christmas dinner. Fun times.

Well, we'll be going to my parents' house after work on Christmas Eve. We'll have dinner, then build a gingerbread train set. :awesome: Then we'll be opening presents on midnight. :ryan:

On Christmas day, we'll have lunch and probably dinner as well with my parents. It'll be an excellent day overall. :ryan:

Although I am not going anywhere big and special for xmas, I found this year to be the hardest to organise

My parents are divorced so I usually go to one's house in the morning and one at night but this time i have to share xmas with my BF!

so we ended up deciding, my dads house for Brekkie after unwrapping gifts, his parents house for xmas lunch and my mum's house for xmas dinner :D

overall i am going to be stuffed full of delicious food :D

We usually don't do anything major on Christmas. Me and my family usually just have Christmas here and exchange gifts, eat, then play a game or two together in that order. It is just me, my parrents, and my brother since the rest of my family likes to spend Christmas on their own. I doubt this year will be any different than the previous years.

Waking up around 5 or 6 to open up presents and get ready for the day. Then we're heading to my in-laws first around 7 or 8 a.m, and then maybe come back home so I can cook homemade cinnamon pumpkin pie and homemade macaroni cheese casserole, but that all depends if we have time. Bringing those (along with chicken shanghai and baked cookies) to our Christmas potluck at my grandma's in L.A around noon. The whole family's going to be there, and we'll play the usual games: raffle tickets, exchange gift, and white elephant.

I was hoping that Christmas would be at my aunt's place at San Bernardino since I'm getting tired of having the usual parties at L.A. But last year, our Christmas was ruined because my aunt invited one of her friends, who invited a bunch of her family and kids, and the house was in total chaos. Those people thrashed all our food and events, which pissed us all off. I guess everyone didn't want that happening again, so it's being held at my grandma's this year. Oh well. As long as we're all together, then it's all good. Not sure if we're sleeping over yet (since my grandma's birthday is the next day), but we'll see.

:hmmm: Probably nothing too special or, out the ordinary :hmmm: Christmas Eve i'm pretty sure the family will be getting together and just chill around getting into the 'christmasy' mood with snacks and music etc. My cousin's getting shipped out in January so, i'll see him during Christmas as well. We also watch a buncha movies and whatnot to pass time.

Christmas day we usually eat ham and whatnot and exchange gifts etc.

We do the same thing but christmas will be a bit different this year. Christmas Eve will be the samething and I am okay with that. Go to grandparents eat all the great scrumpcious food open gifts near midnight. Really huge supper on Christmas Eve. Plates just keep coming one after another :ryan: Christmas we open our presents as soon as we get up then later at night we have a big supper usually but then the parents are leaving at 5 at night so then Ill be alone. Just my brother and I for a whole week. Quiet times :ryan: Then when they get back I still got 19 days or so. I think my grandparents are coming to stay for supper too. Maybe one of my uncles also :hmmm:

Now this day i have been planned very surprizing.Pick a holiday plan to break down Christmas prep into small, easy steps, then track your progress with a free printable Christmas planner. Planning a Christmas dinner, holiday dinner or other large gathering is not complicated, but the more forethought you give it.
