Cloud in Resident Evil 4

I think it took me a few days to figure out how to get it into the game thru a lot of trial and error. And this was my first and so far only attempt at modding hehe.

By the way, DeadFantasty, dude I got a question for you. I was doing a search on embedding @ the help section, I came across one of your posts with a youtube vid embedded on the post.

How'd you do that? Whenever I copy the embed text here - it just shows up as text. And whenever I try the youtube button on the message editor it just shows up as an empty white box whenever I preview.

Nice username by the way. :) Reminds me of the Dead Fantasy animated shorts...
 
Holy, crap! That is one hella sexy Cloud, I must say! Green is definitely his color!

Great job on this. My siblings were like "WHOA! That's COOL!" and it is.

Me and my sisters couldn't get passed how sexy Cloud looked kicking zombies in that army green uniform. *drools*

Im assuming this can only be done on pc versions?
 
Actually, I was wondering, is there a way to download that or something? So I can play it too?

 Yes, I did it on the PC version. There are a lot of modding kits out on the net. Last time I checked, these same people are currently developing mods for games like RE 5 and Batman Arkham Asylum

I have the mod right here with me. And yes it's playable, but I'm not that eager to share it because its not as good as you guys might think. I originally made the mod as one of my hobby experiments. It still has a lot of bugs and you'll see 'em often if you play the game with my mod. (Actually I wasn't proud of it at all, but I thought it looked funny / cool after capturing some vids, that's why i had it uploaded.)

I've seen other mods that were made waaay better. (I recently saw one where Yuna replaced leon) you guys should check that out too. :)

Just copy everything after the equal sign

so it would be like:

[ youtube] fill in your vid url thing here (everything after "=")[ /youtube]

(without the youtube and "[" being spaced)

Hope thats what you mean.

I thought that was pretty cool. I especially liked how you changed the knife to look like the Buster Sword. Great job man, I know you said you weren't really proud of the job you did because of the bugs. When doing something like this (modding a game) doesn't that create bugs? So its something you really have no control over, I guess all I am saying is dont give yourself such a hard time, this was a pretty cool thing you did. :busta:
 
Good job man it looks really cool. I couldn't help but laugh when he pulled out that massive buster sword from nowhere. But your mod is actually incredibly awesome. Do you reckon you'll make some more?
 
@ Deadfantasy - yes I tried others. One was Hunk (the guy from the mercenaries), but then i found out someone already made a mod using him. The second one was Tofu - also a hidden character from resident evil 2.

Oh and thanks for the youtube info - i put it to good use in my other thread hehehe.

@ Chris R - thanks for the encouragement. Maybe someday I'll mod you out of Resident Evil 5 if i get the chance :)

@Sashman - yeah I definitely want to. I mean it'd be freaking awesome if I have The Warrior of Light as my character in WoW even if itll just be on my local client.

Unfortunately I wont be doing anything new anytime soon. :( I'll be moving to another country in Asia within the next two weeks. Plus I'll be swamped with work thereafter. oh well, ces't la vie!

And that sucks that your leaving soon and will be busy but, i'm always looking forward to seeing your work =)
