(Defeated 4 Guardian Bosses)
(Everyone Wearing Ribbons)

I hope all is well with everyone. I am seeking some advice on how to defeat the final Boss, Cloud of Darkness. As you can see above, my current stats aren't so bad.

I just acquired Onion Knight right before I defeated Xande. You can tell because of the low job level. I am trying to work on getting to a higher level using the guard method every fight in the World of Darkness

I have done lot's of research, reading, and video watching on how to defeat the final boss and I am at a loss.
From what I've read so far, the best strategy it to attack Cloud of Darkness itself and ignore the tentacles entirely. I have read that others have been able to defeat Dark Cloud just by doing this.

I have also read others to attack the left tentacle first so it doesn't cast lightning. Lightning is what really starts to deplete my health along with Cloud of Darkness's 2 physical attacks right afterwards.

Is Onion Knight a good job to use for defeating Cloud of Darkness? I have also read that a Devout is worth having in your party as well. I am not so sure that would really work out for me though because if I change anyone to a devout my job level will be a level 1. Although, I do have the following for the Summoner job:

When the fight happens, I typically just go for brute force, I do get a couple of 9999+ damages in there and a few Curajas but after I am attacked my health drains quickly.
From all the players who have past experience with this game and some good advice on how to beat Cloud of Darkness. I would surely appreciate it. Thanks for taking the time to read through my post and take care.

Looks like I am going to work on this until I hear some advice back.

"Kum on! Get Grinding!

Stuck beating the last bosses? In the crystal tower, there is a stellar strategy for grinding. First, find a purple enemy called a "Bluck" (they can be found near the entrance). Now, the grinding begins. They have a move where they can summon an enemy called a "Kum Kum", which is a spellcaster that can be easily dispatched with a nice physical hit. Keep letting the Bluck summon Kum Kums without killing it. For every Kum Kum you kill, you get 8800 exp, or 2200 per character. Battle long enough for exp in excess of 100000! You'll level up in no time, in fact probably gain multiple levels."

Ah sorry about that. It seems other than just approving your thread, we had to approve your posts as well. Not sure what's causing that, but we'll make a note and forward it to the techies. Hopefully this doesn't continue. Sorry for the inconvenience.
