Final Fantasy XIII on the Xbox

So what do you guys feel about this? Personally I was disappointed. I'm not a sony fanboy, I own all systems. But I was truly hoping for it to be exclusive for the PS3...I am now let down. It was the last hope for Sony after Metal Gear.

What the hell are SE thinking!? Putting an FF game... On the Xbox. What's that about?

Sorry, I don't have a link. I JUST watched it on E3 then posted. The President of Square-Enix came out and showed the video.
Xbox is definitely the new RPG console now.
 
Yeah I just saw it on E3. To be honest, I had a feeling that SE would do that. They've been supporting the Xbox a lot lately.

I'm actually a little disappointed too. I have all three systems but the only exclusive game on it is MGS 4. Ah well, I'll just see which version is better.
 
Ghey, is it exclusively on xbox or will it be on ps3 as well? If it ain't I won't have much left going for me to want to keep a ps3...
 
I'm not all that fussed about FFXIII being announced for multi platform because the game really hasn't made an impression on me at all. However, if Versus XIII was made non-exclusive then I'd be pissed, but Nomura said I while back that it definitely wouldn't be ported and shall stay PS3 exclusive.

Although, I don't see how the 360 version could be better than the PS3 version, that's not me trying to be a fanboy but SE already said that they were going to try and push the PS3 to its limit.

Its gonna be on the PS3 as well. By the way they stated it, it seems like the two versions will be a tad different...same story and all, but I don't know. Maybe he worded it wrong. But he said the "360 version"
 
They're going to be released at the same time. I mean, FFXIII for the Xbox and PS3. That's what I heard so far.

With the Last Remnant, it will be release on the Xbox first, than the PS3 a few months later. It could happen to FFXIII. Man.... Microsoft is on the ball.
 
Indeed, if nothing else, you've gotta give them props. They know how to run a business. I feel their main advantage is the fact that their system is easier to work with. So they get more people wanting to work with them.
 
I hate surprises. I was watching the E3 coverage and when they started to show the FFXIII I was like, no... nonononono! This cannot be happening! This is very disappointing for me, hell, I'm pretty pissed off right now. Final Fantasy is supposed to be exclusive! I didn't know that much about it, but from what I had heard, square enix wasn't even thinking about making it non-exclusive. Final Fantasy was one of the main reasons I bought a PS3! Now sony is screwed for the most part.

It's amazing though. They went from the Xbox, which was a generally disliked console which had mostly sports and shooters, to the Xbox 360 which has the best game library at the moment. The PS2 is the most sold system and it had a huge library of games. The PS3 has a small library of games that has a one outstanding exclusive. The two companies basically switched roles.
 
omg i actually gave a sigh of relief when iwada left the stage after last remanant. This was exactly what i was dreading and i don't think the japanese are gonna take to this lightly when they wake up in the morning but wth square has bascially gone for the bigger fish. but i would have thought they should respect the wishes of their fans.
I just hope sony has an answer to this tomorrow cause at this rate, sony's doomed.

Yes, when he left I actually turned to my brother and said, "Well, at least he didn't say anything about final fantasy." And then he walked out again and I was like, "Oh sh*t."
 
XIII is PS3 and XBox360 while FFvXIII is still just PS3... however, the new Star Ocean, amongst other new SquareEnix games will be XBox360 exclusives... this oculd spell disaster for Sony if the trend continues and the eventualy FFXIV becomes an exclusive for XBox360... but thats such a long way off, thats its almost not worthy of worry.
 
any details on vs13 or the other Fabula Nova Crystallis titles?

also, since Sony is on tomorrow, they might as well reveal FF7 remake while they're at it. but still, AT LEAST MORE PEOPLE ARE GOING TO GET ACCESS TO FINAL FANTASY. considering the XBOX and PS3 have MAJOR titles on both consoles, and they are good games like CoD4 and Burnout and GTA, that's all you need, well, that's all i need so im not disappointed personally, cos i know some games are going to more people.

That, albeit I can't see it happening would make up massively for FFXIII going to the 360. Even though, like it has been mentioned, has been clever of Microsoft to stop XIII becoming Sony exclusive an FFVII remake would make far more money and has been more demanded than that of FFXIII.
But still, Versus XIII is still exclusive which is all I'm bothered about at the moment, and although I think the 360 version will sell okay in Japan I can't see it outselling the PS3 version.
 
The only way sony can save some of their ass now is if SE announces ff7 remake for ps3 tomorrow... If sony doesnt announce something really good at this E3 i am selling my ps3 when i played through mgs4 and gta.
