I apologize if this is repetition of another thread, but- I was just thinking about how many times I've said someone's name wrong while playing a Final Fantasy game, only to find out way way later it's something completely different...
Ha, any one else ever had this problem? And with which characters?
For example, In X, I always thought it was TIE-dus, and then found out it's pronounced TEE-dus. ...Though I still call him Tie-dus.
Probably the most phenomenal one for me is Cait Sith. I always pronounced it like it sounded. And then for some odd reason, I looked it up and discovered it's pronounced "Kett Shee." ...Yeah.
Also, a smaller one, I called Vaan, Van (like the shoe) up until the game's release when I was sorely put in my place.
