I'm a little confused on how the online mode works. I go into a lobby but no one is in there. Do I have to have someone registered before they appear? And how do I register them?
 
...well, it's Ad Hoc, so you must have someone who has Dissidia in 10 meter range and who is in the same lobby as yours. There's no online multiplayer, just ad hoc.
But if you have a PS3 you can use Ad-Hoc party, and there's also something called Xlink Kai. Google them, I don't really know anything about'em.
 
Dissidia has online multiplayer. wHAT do you mean you can only play by ad-hoc? yOU can play online. I have already done it before
 
Xlink Kai works with Dissidia final fantasy also I believe. Not sure cause never tried it. Can anyone confirm?
 
Wait a sec, does this mean Ad-Hoc Party won't work if you have a wireless internet connection? /lacks wired :gonk:
 
Darn, too bad I don't own a PS3 or Dissidia. I can't afford it. *sigh*
Oh well, I can still dream about playing as Terra, Buntz and Onion Knight...
 
Just to confirm but this game does work with Xlink Kai. I have seen some youtube videos of the online play with Xlink Kai. So we dont really need adhoc party but I prefer it. I am going to test Kai out after and see if it works with the english version. I know Ad hoc party worked for the jap version of dissidia online. Can anyone confirm if it works with the eng version though?
 
I'm not sure if it's been like this for a while, but Xlink Kai's website is down. REALLY down. Get s 500 - Internal Server Error.

Today is the 29th August 2009 (in NZ), so if it's up again in a few days, I will DEFINITELY download, and DEFINITELY destroy people :3

Wish I had a PS3 though -_- Would make things easier (AdHoc Partay~)
 
I downloaded Xlink Kai and it's not working for me. I try opening the Start User Interface icon but it just keeps saying "Looking for Kai engine" and it doesn't find anything.
 
Ok I just bought the game...haven't even started playing yet. I went to the Communication Mode and I thought there was going to be an online thing included here much like how gamercards work for XBox / PSN ID for PS3 and you just exchange info with your buddies, etc. I don't have a PS3 so I guess online playability is out of the question. =/ And I have no idea what XLink Kai is or how that even works.
 
Don't even bother with Xlink Kai xD It doesn't work =)
