Crisis Core Crisis Core-Help with mission 9-6-6

okay, I've browsed through a lot of posts, and everyone seems to have WAY better stuff than I do. I was wondering, what affects the damage that is done to me by the attacks? I'm always hit with 99,999 damage on any attack.

I just got costly punch, though, so I can actually make a dent.
I also have the Genji shield and Genji gloves, and a lot of the special items.

Sorry if this has all been asked before, I didn't realize how much of a noob I was until I got to this mission.

Those 9 missins are actually really hard I really struggled getting through them, have you maxed out your health as well as your damage with the costly punch and got a safety bit equipped?

Other than that, hug the walls and avoid as many encounters as you can, I just got battered in these missions, had to do afew restarts on them <_< I found hugging the walls helped to miss out most of the encounters though, and I'd escape the ones I accidentally ended up in...

Not much help I know, but it's how I got through some of these ghastlier missions

Well, this is the last mission in the cave set, and its boss is the hardest thing you'll fight.

Yes, I HAVE maxed out my HP, my ATK and MAG don't matter, all I need to use is "costly punch."

Apparently, DEF and SPR will help, but I'm still getting hit with 99,999 damage.

safety bit only works for insta-death moves, these just take out my max hp amount.

And apparently I can steal up to 99 phoenix downs from it. I just need mug or steal, which I don't have.

Ohhhh is it Minerva?

Make sure you constantly have a phoenix down equipped. Like always, one of her moves will kill you like, insrtrantly, and Im sure she has an attack that removes the phoenix down status too. that should be your main priority, make sure you're dodging her attacks

Tbh. She is more of a chore than actually difficult, as long as you can stay alive you should be alright

I can't even get to her because I'm out of Phoenix Downs & have no way of getting more until I clear a couple of missions.

I may have to do another New Game+, but that requires beating the story & all of those other missions a third time....
