Help Dark Aeons

That LINK Zzyxx posted is very usefull bro check it out..
I felt the same way in beginning. you should at least try to save etc after each battle to aquire those handy items and weapons.

I got my Genji Shield that way from Jimbo,,, and I upgraded it with haste etc..
Its the best of the best:D

Attack Reels will make the 'challenges' in the game significantly easier. That along with entrust means you can chain three attack reels in a row at the beginning of the fight for a maximum damage total of...

3,599,964 -__-

Which will comfortably see off a couple of Dark Aeons off the bat. If you swap members in with overdrives you can entrust 6 times onto Wakka which means 7 attack reels. Easy.

Ok I'm trying to get Wakka's attack reels so I can use the 99'999 x 12 method Harlequin, the only thing I'm not clear on is, will they be offered as the first prize in a tournament, or do I simply just have to win any tournament?
 
You'll see them as a prize in one of the Blitzball tournaments/seasons (I can't remember which one it is). It's how all his overdrives are acquired. Just keep playing blitzball until it comes up as a prize.

I'm not sure but I think you can randomise the prizes by saving and loading before the last game of the season. I haven't tried it but it would save you playing through a few seasons if you don't want to.
 
I'm pretty sure they're offered as a first prize for a tournament, and then you'll also need Status reels (league prize I'm pretty sure, after you've done... 250 battles. I think.) and Auroch reels. (I don't know the specifics on this) After you have those, you'll need to get Wakka's Jupiter.. Sigil (I think it's Sigil) as a league prize, or he won't break damage limit. The crest is... in the Aurochs' locker room I do believe.

Alternately, you could make a weapon with break damage limit. :monster:

Edit: And Harlequin is right, you can save before the last match, redo the match, check the prizes, and reset if they're not to your liking.

With tournaments though, simply save after doing two (I think) league games before looking at the tournament prizes. Then check and reset and reload if you don't like what you see.
 
Wakka's attack reels is a must have for the dark aeons like Harly mentioned, they are ace.

You get the sigil for his ultimate weapon at the season/league, you must be number 1.

A word of advice - I have spend ages to get the sigil but It never showed up until I reset everything...maybe its wise to reset it in the beginning till you see the sigil as an award.

(This is related to the topic cuz you will need Wakka's attack reels for PENANCE especially and all the dark aeons)
 
Make sure you get the best players (al bhed) most of them are on the airship........Blaapa and Eigaar (something like that) are the best ones...........

Make sure you learn some new techniques as well..........cause if you blow it and don't come 1st you'll have to go through another season........or another few more.........
 
Just thought I'd like to say I finally killed that dark motherfucking yojimbo...............think I got dark ifrit left........

Takes the piss getting there cos the airship doesn't exactly drop you off there............

is this one of the easiest dark aeons cuz I might think of killing it without zanmato..........

I have the attack reels as well as the ultimate weapons for Tidus,Yuna,Wakka and Auron..................

But my characters are low in strength and HP............

will this be easy or should I zanmato?
 
Ifrit's easy, probably the easiest. Even if you're not overpowered you can eventually grind his HP down with autohaste+phoenix and yuna summoning aeons to take hellfire damage. You don't even need attack reels, though obviously it helps a great deal :wacky:
 
I'd recommend Zanmato, since that's how I've killed all of the Dark Aeons I've done so far.
It really depends on whether you want the satisfaction of knowing you killed them with your skill, not your 'cheat' way.
But Zanmato is probably easier :8F:
 
Flattened Dark Valefor with an Attack Reels and Grand Summoning of Anima so on to Ifrit next anyways. Any pointers on armour bar Auto-Haste/Phoenix and break HP, basically I think break MP is pointless and thinking of going with Ribbon
 
Once you've killed Dark Shiva, do you ever get the chance to go back into Macarena temple or do those Guado just keep coming out?

Also I've re-done the Wakka Ball-throwing thing in Gagazet, but I can't find Dark Anima- any ideas?
 
Once you leave the area again after beating Shiva, you should be freely able to enter Macalania.

As for Anima, have you recompleted all the trials? Might be missing something.
 
the easy way is to get yojimbo and use zanmato its kind of cheating but thats how i did it

dark anima is semores aeon

So do you have to redo both of the Gagazet trials? Perhaps why I couldn't find it...
Can someone tell me exactly where Dark Anima appears?
