Are we allowed a second character? I have an overwhelming urge to have a character with Amaterasu as his companion, but she wouldn't fit well as Thoma's companion ^.^

I have several NPCs to write up, and a jon half done is a job better not done at all, so it'll be a couple of weeks. 4 days at an absolute, unlikely minimum if I devote all my time to it, which will creatively wipe me out. Sorry for the time it's taking, but I'm asking you to stay patient. The end result will be very much worth it.

Well since I've entered Survivor, and it'll be starting up soon, I see no point in starting it now. I'd rather take the time in Survivor to make a few NPCs in between challenges, so we can basically start immediately after it ends.

Appearance: Standing at 6’2”, Nikolas isn’t too tall. His eyes are a dark green, the pupils of which is actually slitted like a snake’s. Usually his eyes are hidden behind his rose-coloured sunglasses but those who get to see them often remark that they match his personality. He has longish brown hair that tends to drift to the left side of his face. Both his ears are pierced but his right one has a gold band over the upper ridge. Adding to his snake-like personality, he has a slim, flexible body that tends to move in quick yet smooth movements.
Probably to his detriment, Nikolas always wears the same red jacket with a fur-trimmed hood. There is a pocket inside that has a loaded gun. Typically he wears a sleeveless shirt, jeans and a pair of leather boots. It should be noted that he also has a chain going between the belt loops on his right side. It never deviates even though he is ambidextrous; a closer look reveals blood specks on it as it has been used as a damage boost in fist fights.
He is rarely seen without his pet snake, Ouroboros (black kingsnake, 40 in.).
Personality: Nikolas is unafraid of everything, meeting every challenge with a sneer of contempt. Pair this with his lack of ethics and he is the person you want on your side for anything illegal. If it is illegal, chances are he has done it, done it well, and was paid a lot for it.
A freelancer always, his services come at a price though his family gets them for free (not that they would use them) and his friends get a discount (5% is a lot when you’re talking millions). He has been described as “completely willing to sell his own mother if it meant that he could make a quick buck.” Not true as the only non-flexible ethos he has is towards his family. Despite their disapproval of his ‘work’ he stands by them to the end.
With a streak of arrogance that couldn’t hope to measured, Nikolas is, in his own mind and that of several others, a god who can do no wrong. He refuses to submit to others even if it’s right in his face. In fact, the only person who has made him submit is his younger brother, a fact that haunts him to this day.
Known also as a gambler, he has made quite a bit of money and as such have people wanting said money from him for various reasons, legit or not. He is often seen at slots or blackjack tables or even one of the streetside games if he isn’t running one himself. His constant habit of gambling has also led to him having a keen eye for personality quirks and tells.
He also has a way of picking up on how people are feeling, something he uses to his advantage often. Though he only has a slightly higher than average intelligence he is cunning, much like his snake-like eyes suggest. This is most often used for escape plans though.
It should be noted that he is also an excellent liar.

The first-born son, Nicholas has always had a high opinion of himself. Perhaps too high. Five years the elder of his younger brother, he was definitely old enough to know that his parent’s focused only on him. So when Karel came along, he considered his new brother to be an affront to his position.
This led him to trying to smother his brother with a pillow only a month after he was born. Probably for the best, he failed but this was more than likely the start of where his lack of ethic began to take hold. Through elementary school, he was never known as a trouble maker despite the large number of thefts that took place during his years there. He was always able to get away with it somehow, whether pinning it on someone else or going with everyone else in ignorance.
In middle school it got worse. He was constantly in fistfights, though to everyone else it he was provoked into defending himself. Still, it got him valuable experience for his later years. The thefts continued and with no points to the contrary, Nicholas determined it was perfectly fine as long as you get away with it. It was also around this time that he started playing around with Sleight of hand, running card games and such in his spare time at the bus stops and such, winning lunch money and the like.
He got into the drug scene in High School after being introduced to it by someone in his class. Though he never did take it, he did turn around and sell it making a 50% profit on it. Eventually he cut out the middleman and began dealing on the side. Despite now having a side job, he was still able to maintain a 3.5 GPA. However, with the money he was making, there really wasn’t a need to go to college. Still he went and ended up with a business degree in management, all paid for by state (and the fruits of his labor).
Graduating at 22, he immersed himself deeper in the illegal, actually killing someone at 24. Never once has he been caught, never once has there been evidence behind, and always, the payment is in the millions. His gambling though is still prevalent though now it has bigger stakes.
Typically he travels around, never staying in one place for more than a few months. Right now though he finds himself in his brother’s town, trying to find his apartment to tell him that the problem has been solved.
His pet snake also has an interesting story. While in one city for an assassination, he happened to be passing by a pet shop in the local shopping mall. Going in on a whim to look at the animals and the idiot people trying to take care of them. Passing along the reptile cages, he found the kingsnake, not lying in the sunlamp, but staring intently back at him, watching him. Looking into its eyes, Nikolas thought he saw a bit of intelligence there and decided that the snake was worth it (In reality, Jormungandr was subtly prodding his mind to see what he thought). Purchasing it with cash, he forwent the cage and left his snake around his neck where it stayed, content. Nikolas does not yet know that his Kingsnake is actually a demon.

In it because of this he urges Nikolas to make his descisions as such and never let his opponent have a chance to strike back. While this works well in his games of chance, real life doesn’t always work like that, something the Midgard serpent will understand with time.
He is very talkative however not in a conversational way. It is more like a shadowy voice in the back of your head telling you to do things. If he ever speaks to anyone outside of his summoner it is often softly said but incredibly venomous. He is also prone to using profanity.
Secretly though, he desires the approval of his summoner; this comes from him being a middle child. Because of this he is often protective of whoever gives him their approval but this will never conflict with his summoner, who approved him as their demon.

His body is similar to his brother’s though his fingers are more dexterous, weaving in and out of plants without touching them.
His typical dress, hot or cold, is a long sleeve blue shirt, black pants and a pair of ankle-high boots. He also is known for his midnight coloured long coat and lavender scarf. The scarf is actually the way he is recognized by most people as he often wears it so it flaps in the wind. Hidden in an inner pocket of his coat is the gun given to him by Nikolas.
Personality: Almost the complete opposite of his brother, Karel is the eye of the storm; even if the world around him rages, he remains calm. He has a sense of serenity about him and when he smiles at you, you get the sense that everything is going to be alright. Soft-spoken, he never raises his voice and takes his time in what he does, whether it being tending his rosebushes or strolling through the park.
He enjoys nature, more so than human company, which is why his relationships rarely make it past the first date. Despite his obvious skill with plants, he always downplays it, saying he’s only a flower tender. Still, numbers don’t lie and the money he has made from his arrangements and his job taking care of the Sublime park keep him well above the financial waters.
Though he disagrees with his brother’s chosen ‘profession’ he still loves him and offers his home as a hideaway when its necessary. Unlike his brother, he can’t see himself ever doing anything illegal, though he may actually pull the trigger if he absolutely had to. Still, he prefers to handle problems by talking it through and more often than not it works.
Rather tight-fisted, his home is sparsely furnished, there being only the basic necessities and a television so he can keep abreast of the news. The rest of it is filled with his flower arrangements, some of them dried, others living. The only flexibility of this is when Nikolas needs some money desperately.
He considers himself lucky that so far, no one from his brother’s ‘buisness’ has entered his life.

Dormant: A pair of silver wristbands that at first appear to be manacles around Karel’s wrists. Inscribed on each are the words “Leyding Dromi Gleipnir” though it is in runic script and thus unable to be read by most people.
Personality: Fenrir is far more outspoken than his younger brother but more ferocious than venomous. It can easily be said that he is bloodthirsty, the words rip, ravage, shred and sever being used often in his speech. He is often impulsive, going without thinking as it were. In a way, he needs the chains of summoning to help him keep it in check.
Like a wild animal, he hates to be caged up or answer to the call of someone making him very much so opposed to being Karel’s demon. In time he may learn to slow down and realize that Karel respects him as an equal.

History:
The second son, Karel, has no idea what happened to him at a young age, but until the age of 12 he has severe claustrophobia. Completely unexplained, he has no idea that it was his elder brother that had caused it. Still, it didn’t stop him from succeeding.
Unlike Nikolas, Karel kept his nose clean. Perhaps the model student if it weren’t for the fact that he couldn’t stand to be in enclosed spaces; time out was a real terror for him. Where his brother excelled in theft, Karel excelled in reading and math, always going to the advanced classes through his school career.
It wasn’t until he was in 7th grade that he got past his claustrophobia thanks to a close friend of his that year. Unfortunately, that friend dies in a car accident when they were in 10th grade which almost caused Karel to relapse. To this day, he makes sure to go out to his grave at least once a week.
Graduating high school with a 4.0 in the advanced classes, Karel disappointed many people when he refused to go to college and opened up his own shop using the money that was supposed to go to college. It might have been all well and good had it not been a flower shop though. Over the four years it’s been open, his parents have both come to realize how good he is though his father still disapproves of his choice but has to admit that his son has done well.
In recent years, he has allowed Nikolas to use his home as a getaway when he needs it. However, about 6 months ago, he received a box containing a gun and several clips of ammo along with a note:
Karel, I hope you don’t have to use this but keep it close. Things are bad and if they find out about you, I don’t want to lose you.
Knowing his brother’s business and the abnormal severity of note, Karel keeps the pistol on his person at all times though the clips are never in it but in the same pocket. So far he has yet to use it.

His typical dress, hot or cold, is a long sleeve blue shirt, black pants and a pair of ankle-high boots. He also is known for his midnight coloured long coat and lavender scarf. The scarf is actually the way he is recognized by most people as he often wears it so it flaps in the wind. Hidden in an inner pocket of his coat is the gun given to him by Nikolas.
Personality: Almost the complete opposite of his brother, Karel is the eye of the storm; even if the world around him rages, he remains calm. He has a sense of serenity about him and when he smiles at you, you get the sense that everything is going to be alright. Soft-spoken, he never raises his voice and takes his time in what he does, whether it being tending his rosebushes or strolling through the park.
He enjoys nature, more so than human company, which is why his relationships rarely make it past the first date. Despite his obvious skill with plants, he always downplays it, saying he’s only a flower tender. Still, numbers don’t lie and the money he has made from his arrangements and his job taking care of the Sublime park keep him well above the financial waters.
Though he disagrees with his brother’s chosen ‘profession’ he still loves him and offers his home as a hideaway when its necessary. Unlike his brother, he can’t see himself ever doing anything illegal, though he may actually pull the trigger if he absolutely had to. Still, he prefers to handle problems by talking it through and more often than not it works.
Rather tight-fisted, his home is sparsely furnished, there being only the basic necessities and a television so he can keep abreast of the news. The rest of it is filled with his flower arrangements, some of them dried, others living. The only flexibility of this is when Nikolas needs some money desperately.
He considers himself lucky that so far, no one from his brother’s ‘buisness’ has entered his life.

Appearance:
Dormant: A pair of silver wristbands that at first appear to be manacles around Karel’s wrists. Inscribed on each are the words “Leyding Dromi Gleipnir” though it is in runic script and thus unable to be read by most people.
Personality: Fenrir is far more outspoken than his younger brother but more ferocious than venomous. It can easily be said that he is bloodthirsty, the words rip, ravage, shred and sever being used often in his speech. He is often impulsive, going without thinking as it were. In a way, he needs the chains of summoning to help him keep it in check.
Like a wild animal, he hates to be caged up or answer to the call of someone making him very much so opposed to being Karel’s demon. In time he may learn to slow down and realize that Karel respects him as an equal.
Elemental Affinity: Earth and Fire
History:
The second son, Karel, has no idea what happened to him at a young age, but until the age of 12 he has severe claustrophobia. Completely unexplained, he has no idea that it was his elder brother that had caused it. Still, it didn’t stop him from succeeding.
Unlike Nikolas, Karel kept his nose clean. Perhaps the model student if it weren’t for the fact that he couldn’t stand to be in enclosed spaces; time out was a real terror for him. Where his brother excelled in theft, Karel excelled in reading and math, always going to the advanced classes through his school career.
It wasn’t until he was in 7th grade that he got past his claustrophobia thanks to a close friend of his that year. Unfortunately, that friend dies in a car accident when they were in 10th grade which almost caused Karel to relapse. To this day, he makes sure to go out to his grave at least once a week.
Graduating high school with a 4.0 in the advanced classes, Karel disappointed many people when he refused to go to college and opened up his own shop using the money that was supposed to go to college. It might have been all well and good had it not been a flower shop though. Over the four years it’s been open, his parents have both come to realize how good he is though his father still disapproves of his choice but has to admit that his son has done well.
In recent years, he has allowed Nikolas to use his home as a getaway when he needs it. However, about 6 months ago, he received a box containing a gun and several clips of ammo along with a note:
Karel, I hope you don’t have to use this but keep it close. Things are bad and if they find out about you, I don’t want to lose you.
Knowing his brother’s business and the abnormal severity of note, Karel keeps the pistol on his person at all times though the clips are never in it but in the same pocket. So far he has yet to use it.

And hey Diar, If you wanna work on an NPC for them, give me a call. I already had some work down on what exactly happened.
I'll be randomly distributing the NPCs depending on starting location. Isis and Nero will be who you'll all see most prominently until after the apocalypse's commencement. I'm not quite sure where I'm starting David or Caroline yet. So no worries about the NPCs.
