Basically in the GBA version of FFV there is a glitch where you can avoid the final fight with Neo Exdeath. All you have to do is make sure you kill Exdeath by using Chaos Cannon which can be achieved by using a Canoneer to combine a Dark Matter with a Blitzshot.

I'll admit I exploited this glitch, simply because I strongly disliked FFV and just wanted to finish it as quickly as possible. I know, I'm a real monster :wacky: (I also chose the chicken knife, so I spent a lot of time in FFV running away from my problems) So did anyone else exploit this glitch? By the way Kudos to anyone who actually took the time to beat Neo Exdeath! :monster:

You can avoid it in the PS1 version aswel by making X death beserk using some mix thingy that Ive forgot now haha, i think its a holy water and something. I know Ive posted it around here somewhere

Wow I'm surprised at how easy it is to avoid such a bitch of a fight, I tried to actually beat him once and I got owned in about 4 turns, then I thought to myself "Fuck This Shit" :wacky:

Why would anyone want to bypass the final fight? The music is awesome and beating Neo Exdeath gives a sense of achivement. Although I must say I've never had trouble with him.

I can honestly say at the time I couldn't have cared less. I really disliked this game and just wanted to finish it already. I know I technically didn't beat the game but I got to see the final scene never-the-less :monster:

Same here, I hated the game so much I just wanted to complete it. The music can kiss my arse, I just watched abit on Youtube to see what I was missing. I never want to look at this game again, I was so pleased when I found out I could make life easier by avoiding that final fight. And I think taht other item was a Maidens Kiss

Anyway, if I ever get the (unlikely) urge to have a crack at neo x death, I have a save point about 5 seconds away from him anyway

I chose not to exploit any glitch for the final boss and instead went the whole lengthy battle to kick his arrrrrrr-'s'. I can understand many people hating this game but I'm afraid I loved the majority of it and so wanted to see it through to the end properly :P :randompoke:

wow i really wish i knew that back then
i should really try that with my gba one

I did it once just to try it out in the GBA version. Also you can avoid the chicken knife effect by equiping the spear that attacks twice in the main hand (forget the name). The game only registers the knifes effect on the second attack so since it's now on the third attack the script doesn't fire.

its the twin lance----- it sux because even if you attack w/ rapid fire it doesnt deal the damage twice making it a shit weapon if u prefer the rapid fire attacks

Too bad I didn't know about it then. It was *tough.* And just think, all those hours of grinding I went through for X-Cast. =(

I have to agree. I did love this game. However, I did cheat the first time. But after I beat Enuo, I came back and wailed on him. HARD. He had no idea what hit him. It was 2 gladiators (Spamming Finisher) A cannoner (Constantly using needle cannon), and finally, a monk, hitting just as hard as everyone else.

By the way, did you know you can steal a Ragnarok/Excalibur (Can't remember which) from his bottom right part?

i hated the neo ex death battle and realy wish i would have known about this glitch, its not worth beating this horrid game again to use though lol
